Apparently they do a mean kangaroo tortellini in some restaurants

This show can stretch “suspicious” for eternity. Open the friggin suitcase already!
The episode then will be 10 minutes long
@@H.EL-Othemany Yeah, everything is always stretched out as much as possible for reality shows, because otherwise there would be no content to fill between ad spaces. There are a reason why many youtube videos are just as content filled as entire tv programs, but take up half the viewing time.

That white powder is parmesan cheese for his Italian restaurant adventures in Sydney. Nothing to worry about. That drug detecting machine is broken.
His brother Luigi is still waiting at the restuarant in Sydney to this day for the delivery of cheese.

@thefiestaguy8831 the boss and brother of Luigi, his name is Mario, eventually grew impatient and coincidentally this man died of natural causes.
Why would he hide Parmesan cheese in his luggage? You can buy it from the supermarket in Australia. I’d say it’s illegal drug.

Fines are higher!
@@corvettesbmenah they are light, Chinese students flying into Canada or USA are fined in the thousands for these things and it’s zero tolerance, no warnings

@@kirstenbellenthat doesn’t mean they’re travelling just to try out Italian restaurants 😂
As an Italian, we do not claim this man.
So?
How pathetic that he talks about traveling around the world to try different Italian restaurants. That's like an American traveling to try different McDonald's. Zero respect.
I used to travel to many different countries while I was in the Navy. Many American Navy sailors would beeline toward the nearest McDonald's, KFC, Pizza Hut etc. right after they have gotten off the ship.
McDonald’s in other countries is definitely worth checking out. It’s usually much better than anything you can get in the states
@@rozenberg314 : You are correct, McDonald’s in other countries are worth checking out. However, refusing to try local cuisines at all is just boring to me. I had to choose the buddies carefully before going out (there is the buddy system in the Navy when we were in foreign countries).

As a Chinese I know my fellow countrymen (include my parents) loves to take Chinese ingredients for soups and medicines. But most of them don't even care about the potential damages of other countries eco-systems and farm industries, love to risk not to declare items through the border. Unfortunately these will keep coming :(
It it wasn’t for Chinese people acting this way, there wouldn’t be enough content to make this TV show.
@@JasonLianneMac I'd rather people behave, bring less potential risk to Australia, than just for making this show. Eco-system is more important than this show.
There are a lot of Chinese students in Australia who make a living smuggling product into China and sending things- like baby powder, from Australia to China.
@@stevemcgowen As far as I know, not only students, also local Chinese residents would went to supermarkets, emptied whole cells of baby powder products and shipped all to China, some shipped legally. But caused other users unable to buy baby powder, it is another selfish acts.
Thus that's why there are laws and regulations in place to deter and control any threats to border security.

Attempting to carry drugs through an airport is the most moronic strategy possible, with an extremely high likelihood of detection. Why gangs use this when there are much safer options such as corrupt port officials or recreational boats is baffling.
They actually do it so they can get bigger stuff thro

These are probably at least ten years old, and the fines are very low. However I've always believed Australian and UK fines have always been been absolutely pathetic certainly not a deterrent.

you know that he is Italian - he speaks with his hands )))
It’s even better that the officer he spoke to is a 2nd or 3rd generation Italian-Australian who keeps Italian heritage language for people like the Italian passenger
:) that officer reminded me of my 6 months staying in Australia, 25/30 years ago. My 2nd generation Italian colleague wouldn't speak Italian with me at all, even if he perfectly understood if I spoke Italian too him. When he took me to meet his parents I realized why. He was just shy because he knew he couldn't speak proper Italian, only a mix of Calabrese and some Italian. His parents wanted to talk with me a lot but I had serious troubles understanding their Calabrese. Basically after they asked me something, he would translate it to me in English and I could then reply in Italian, haha! Very very good people, honest and hard working, who escaped poverty and built a comfortable life on the other side of the planet. This officer speaks a decently understandable Italian, but he made me smile because the way he speaks seems just out of an American "cosa nostra" movie. And the real "goodfella", the passenger, is not much better with his Neapolitan language/Italian mix.
Awesome job👏🏼
The fines need to be thousands not hundreds. The officers need to wear masks when opening suspected drugs. For their own safety.
It is now, this episode was filmed a while ago

An Italian going to Australia to sample their Italian fare is hysterical. It’d be like an American going to Canada for Mexican food. I’ve been to Italy. Their food is poorly replicated in other countries. They don’t have garlic bread, spoons for twisting pasta nor any Italian dressing. Their fare is light and simple usually. In America they’ve added way too much meat and cheese to Italian classics. I dunno what ethnic food is like in Australia. But each country introduces its own twist on the dishes. Regarding Chinese herbal medicine: are there not places in Australia (and other non-Asian countries) where you can purchase said items? It seems like there would be, then these folks wouldn’t have to bring their own. They could buy stuff that’s already been through Customs and deemed safe.

QUESTIONABLE WORKPLACE FOR CUSTOM INSPECTORS: Time and again, in this video, we see a parade of foreigners trying to smuggle foods, fruits, seeds and even dead scorpions and live insects into Australia that contain high risk bacteria and viruses, so why do the customs inspectors at this Aussie airport NOT wear protective vinyl gloves on their hands to shield their palms and fingers from direct contact with these risky things foreigners try to smuggle into Australia?
