Nice video mate, ive subscribed, hows the ride with this kit fitted is it really rough over bumps etc.. ? Cheers
It is a very nice ride. With this particular set they are height and damper adjustable so you can set how soft or stiff you want each corner. The set damper kit is cheaper but then you don't have control over stiffness, so worth the small amount more for full control. Thank you for your comment and support. 🙌🏻
@@Drivewaybuildz no problem buddy, the video showed every small detail most miss 👌
Any chance of a link to the kit you bought with the adjustable damping ?
Ive bought a multiair turbo and somethings wrong with it, at speeds over around 60 the steering goes really light and its super twitchy and feels unbalanced, i went round a slight bend at around 70mph and the back end kicked out really bad and left front suspension felt like it fully compressed and all the weight fully dug in hard on that front left corner.
Luckily i managed to counter steer and straighten it up without crashing.
Ive took it to 2 garages and both have checked all the suspension, arms, steering etc.. they both said nothings wrong but there definitely is.
I had a new punto t-jet back in 2006, had a few parts and remapped to 180bhp, owned it for 3 years and never had a problem with handling, used to drive great at speed and it was fine on motorway at much higher than the limit, i maxed it out regularly and never felt twitchy.
I think im going to fit a coilover kit and replace all the bushes and links and hope that sorts it.
Thanks buddy
@@martiangod Yes that definately doesn't sound right. Only thing i could think of could be to check the brake caliper isn't locking up. maybe give the pistons a clean. This is a link to the kit i found online. Might be worth having a hunt around for a better price. Just make sure its the same part number. Need to buy adjustable drop links seperately. 👍

@@Drivewaybuildz cheers mate, appreciate the replies, ive just replaced all brakes and discs, replaced with new brembo parts a few weeks ago and pistons were cleaned and pushed back with a clamp its definitely not the brakes, ill look at the parts you sent, thanks again
@@martiangod No problem. Hope you get the issue sorted soon bud. 🤞🏻

@@Drivewaybuildzyes I did. I got the damping and height adjustment one. It was a no brainer.

Good job 👍
Thank you! 🙌🏻
Solid tutorial mate, really helped me out. Just wondering, should I get an alignment after this?
Thank you.
Yes i would definately recommend an alignment after fitting coil overs. 👍
Great job know how do it now thanks 👍
Steve Rotherham Thanks bud. 👍
@@Drivewaybuildz it's OK love the videos punto me self
Steve Rotherham Nice one. great little cars. 🙌🏻
hola, de que tamaño son las bieletas ajustables que instalaste para la suspensión??? son bieletas universales?? o especificas para el modelo.
how are the rear ones adjusted in height
Hi can you help me to find where I can buy a set of bolts for the ignition coils, rocker/vavle cover for the abarth punto please ?
Hi.
Your best bet is to call your local fiat/dealer and get from there. i had a quick look and cant seem to find them online. i get alot of parts like this from main dealer. 👍
@@Drivewaybuildz Thanks Done that
Shouldn’t drop links be adjusted when car sitting down to remove any preload? If You do that in the air, ARB free position will be in this position and when You let the car down on the wheels sway bar will be already loaded while it should be loaded in the corners trying to get the car back to the right position.
Yes thats right. i just extended the drop links enough to not hit against the track rods. will be adjusting them properly when i get my alignment done once the car is on a proper ramp. and not driving it until then. 👍
Hi can you please put the link where I could buy a set of the shock-absorbers and their coils from the front and back of the Punto Evo Sporting ?
Hi.
is it a link for the coil overs in the video you are after?
or oem suspension ?
@Driveway buildz the whole thing

Feedback from V-Maxx?
Very good.
still going strong.
great that you can dial them in on a wide adjustment range to how you like it. 👌
@@Drivewaybuildz I have a MiTo 1.6 jtdm shocks with Koni FSD and they are loosing the dumping power, the Bilstein B8 costs me 600€ and the VMaxx 400€... That's I am thinking going to V-Maxx
@@rubenboavista3440 yes this is a big reason for me also.
there are 2 versions of the v-maxx.
1 is just height
the 1 i have is height and damper adjustable on clicks.
its slightly more money but well worth it to change the stiffness to how you want.
