you can get the code for your radio for 12$ at www.vwcodes.org . The only you need is the Serial number from your stereo unit label! I order this code yesterday and received it one hour later and everything works perfectly for RCD510. The only issue I now have is that this RCD510 only have Aux input and None BT input. I will probably try buy some other unit that have BT input instead.
@@EverydayCars In Russia/Ukraine we have a lot of manual driving VW's and Skoda's. Even in 2021 you can buy new Skoda A8 with modern equipment (like SE/SEL in USA) and with manual 6 gear lovely stick ;)
Hey Volkswagen fix the problem with the stereo with all models. The stereo i fake. The sound in the car is not clear. No memorize the song after engine turned OFF then turned ON the songs starts from begin. The touch screen is not working well. I'm not satisfied from my new car Volkswagen SE 2017. For this problems all models Volkswagen needs recall. Don't sell the cars on the market with this problems.
Anyone else get shit quality bluetooth with this radio? I love the 6 CD changer and mostly rock CDs. But bluetooth seams to not do proper stereo panning of audio tracks.

Yes it works. Is the Bluetooth on on your phone? And did you sync the car with the phone. That's the only way it works.

Check accessorie fuse. If it I'd good than remove radio and make sure the power wire had 12 volts with the ignition on.

Then you don't have this feuture in the stereo. You probably own the old version of RCD510 with aux option and without BT options.

My system keeps turning on and off by itself all of a sudden. Now its not turning on completely. Anyone have a idea what could be the problem?
I have this unit on my 13 CC. No sound equalizer is my complaint.
Yea it's pretty limited on what it can do. It was outdated when it came out and I think they used it until 2014 or 2015.
