It was just beautiful how Wonderboy dissed Ian Garrys call out and then goes on to fight another undefeated fighter. When Garry talked about the fight for the ages in a arrogant way, he saw himself having a Adesanya-Silva. Passing the torch kind of moment but when you smell of disrespect, that is the only thing you are going to get back.

This could be one of those fights that Wonderboy wins, but ultimately makes Shavkhat a better overall fighter. GSP's first fight with Hughes comes to mind.
I really think wonderboy pulls it off. Shavkat doesn’t really shoot for takedowns and has no head movement. Could get sniped

Gilbert Burns held Thompson down for 3 rounds. One could make the argument that Burns striking prowess opened up opportunities for takedowns. Then again Shavkats striking isnt as developed as Burns. Pumped for this bout! 💪

I'm a huge Shavkat fan, but he got all tore up in that Geoff Neal war, he's very tall, upright in the pocket and doesn't move his head at all

The last couple of fights I've seen of Rakhmonov he is very touchable but has a strong chin. Wonderboy is very crafty and I think he's going to hurt Rakhmonov at least once, unless Rakhmonov just takes him down and is able to hold him. I think Rakhmonov is a little premature at #5 WW as the guys above him and the one right below him, Wonderboy are all a step up in competition and you usually can't hit as many times as Rakhmonov does against this guys and still win.

@@kev30631 Rakhmonov is that dude, definitely should get a title shot after Belal. Due to timing he might have to fight once more, but he looks ready to me. He looked good striking against Wonderboy and was able to take him down and keep him there.

Wonderboy has the skills and tools to beat Shakvat. But that guy is scary and he is good. He hasn't been tested yet not against a top guy like Wonderboy. This fight will show where Shakvat is and how good he is. Geoff Neal he fought a hell of a fight but the problem was he was sloppy in the Neak fight. I thought he was a bit sloppy maybe he wanted to make it a dog fight idk. But he can't be sloppy against Wonderboy. He seems to keep his head straight up not a lot if defensive head movement.

Man, one of my favorites saying negative things about my other favorite. I'm supporting Wonderboy, and I also think he'll win. Meaning, I'm not just rooting for him, I actually think he's the one that has the most overall skills and ability. I'd like to hear someone say that Wonderboy would get the title fight after this, if he wins too. It just seems logical if the other guy is offered a shot.
This was designed to be a bad match up for Wonderboy .

I know Uncle Chael is being his usual self but Belal and Burns took Wonderboy down at will. Prime Wonderboy likely dominates Shavkat but present Wonderboy gets abused on the ground. I just hope he's able to avoid being taken down

In my opinion Wonderboy's vulnerability is on the ground , regardless of the cage size.
We have seen shavkat strike pretty much the entire fight with Neal. So it's not impossible he does that with wonderboy.

@@kev30631 Geoff had near death experience (Health related) like 2 years ago and hasn't been 100% since and when he fought Shavkat he clearly wasn't healthy even the doctor told him to stop cutting weight and that's probably why he couldn't fight Garry, yet Geoff gave Shavkat a competitive fight despite being sick.

He didn’t take it for a good principle. Pereira was unprofessional and would’ve had a serious conditional advantage that Stephen is too late in his career to deal with. He deserves better but may not get it without force.
Big WB fan and honestly, if he wasn’t talking belt I agree…but he is and derailing Shav (out of who’s available) is his best shot. He’s publicly stated what he wanted for a while. This sort of seems suitable. Really when you look at the rankings, there was almost no one else as far as a path goes with the way everything is booked up.
