LAGUNA NIGUEL FIRE 7-18-2023

A bush fire started at about 3pm on the west side of the Seawatch Community in Laguna Niguel. The fire was in the canyon below Catamaran Way. Thanks to quick action by OCFA and the two new helicopters, the fire was controlled. Although residents where preparing to evacuate, the fire was brought under control without danger to any of the nearby residences.

Yes, without it the fire would have traveled down that canyon potentially destroying many homes.

Don’t know how many gallons, but it is one of the latest helicopters for fighting fires and was very effective here.

3000 gallon tank. Most loads are 2000+ Galons

Your end comments in this video are totally false. There were no Sikorsky S70M anywhere near this fire. The hero was an Orange County Boeing 47D Chinook.
