In the West we say Pryvit to anyone, Yana. Even to our bosses. The time of dictatorship ended here long ago, your people freedom started on feb 24, 2022, or maybe a few days after.

Wow, I work at a place with several Ukrainian workers who don’t speak English and I’ve wanted to try to communicate, I said hello to an older man and he just looked away….. kind of made me sad.
It would be helpful if you could speak slower and repeat the phrases. Thank you for posting this.

We say Добрий день.
Якщо ви хочете дотримуватися етикету, то краще сказати "Добрий день". Однак, якщо ви хочете бути більш ввічливим, то можете сказати "Добрий обід", і також якщо хочете зробити комплімент можете сказати "Добрий обід".
