Ha ha. Welcome to Jinjer. Buckel up dude! You ain't heard or seen nothin' yet. Fan since '18. I've seen them live a couple of times so far and they are best heard live. You haven't a clue of the musical surprises that await you if you delve deeper. 🎶

They are from Donetsk in eastern Ukraine, where the fighting started in 2014. Tatiana is mostly self taught, and she uses the false vocal folds for the harsh vocals, not the vocal chords. Glad you mentioned the drummer, Vlad. Pisces is an older song, and it was redone in this live session to showcase him, as he had joined the band not long before this. But , it went viral because of her vocals. Vlad is classically trained on piano, and self taught on drums. He, Roman (guitar) and Eugene9bass, are all awesome musicians. They write the music, Tati writes lyrics. The guys were stuck in Kiev when the current fighting started. But , were allowed to leave last summer , to tour and be ambassadors for Ukraine.
The usual next step is to see her do it live with perennial at Wacken 2019. Home Back is about the fighting in their Ukraine homeland in 2014.

Welcome to Jinjer. To appreciate how good this band is, react to their live performances as a follow up. I suggest "Perennial" live at Wacken or "Who is Gonna be the One" (Live, Napalm Records). Good Analysis. (Subbed)

Jinjer has become my favorite band right now and a good as this song is, and it's a really good song, it doesn't even make my top 10 list of Jinjer songs. Hell, I don't think that they have a bad song. A couple of my favorites are VORTEX, TEACHER TEACHER, OUTLANDER, or PERENNIAL. Just pick one and, doesn't matter which one, and I garuntee that you'll love it. Enjoy!

Heh for those in the know, the record label is a spoiler. I love in Tara Simon's reaction she says "...from Napalm Records" and there's a tightening of her voice as she says it, like "what am I getting myself into?" Lol. Lots of great songs to do next. Can't go wrong with Perennial live at Wacken to see them on stage though. Subbed. Cheers!

Tatiana has been doing this for about 15 years now. There are a lot of good Jinjer songs to check out. A lot of really good live material. The list is long but any of the videos in this playlist would be excellent for a reaction or just to watch for your enjoyment.

Welcome to Jinjer! I hope you continue your journey with this amazing band. They have very deep catalog and every song is different! I would recommend a live in concert song next, either Pit of Consciousness (live in Kiev) or Perennial (live at Wacken 2019) as good next stops, but they truly don't have a bad song so any choice is a good one. Awesome Reaction!

Great reaction, I'm glad you have enough musical knowledge to immediately recognize the musical ability of Eugene, Roman, and Vlad, as well as the degree of difficulty Tati has mastered in her entire vocal range. Jinjer is absolutely amazing, and their live performances are quite often even more amazing than the official videos. I hope you take the full plunge into the Jinjer Journey and I subscribed so I can join you if/when you do! A great follow-on reaction is another older song of theirs, "Who's Gonna Be the One," the Live version, followed by "Perennial" Live at Wacken Open Air 2019, then "Teacher, Teacher" (Official Video). Once you've sampled those, there are many, many more to enjoy!

You asked if growling might improve a singer's voice. It certainly seems to have done that with Bjorn Strid. He's been the vocalist for Soilwork for more than twenty years, blending these vicious, angry growls with cleans. About ten years ago he started a side project, Night Flight Orchestra, an 80s prog rock band. He's been pulling double duty as a growler in one band and then a belter in the other. The stuff Night Flight just released last year is incredible. His clean voice has become even louder and more soulful. He could probably peel the paint off the back wall of a coliseum right now his range is so incredible. And vice-versa, his growling for Soilwork has gotten deeper too.

If you want to continue on the jinjer journey, i'd suggest to you:
    - perennial, live in wacken 2019 (it's a video with milions of views, you'll see which live it is anyway)
    - teacher teacher, official video
    - on the top live in kiev
    - judgment and punishment one take vocal performance
If you want something else, well, i am a huge lorna shore fan, so if you're not familiar with the band, you should start with the most (in)famous song of them, "to the hellfire" (i'd suggest the one take vocal performance by will ramos, their singer).

Great reaction, normally there is a very specific path down the Jinjer rabbit hole but I think you might enjoy jumping ahead to one of they're more brutal/faster songs.
Sit, Stay, Rollover to compair and contrast. .
This band has no bad songs so I think you'll like what ever you choose. But it's fun to see the extreme differences.
Subbed, can't wait to see more.

Fun fact about this video: the band only did it because of the [at this time] New drummer.(He gave the song a New flavour).
Fun fact about the drummer: He was a Pianist before he dicided to learn to play drums, (self taught) because his former band needed a New one.

I can sing in a few of the voices I do, but nowhere near this loud or at this level lol. Also not all of mine are false cords, some use the actual cords as I can only do them a few times per recording before I’m coughing like crazy.
I essentially record myself singing or doing stories whether it’s my own voice or my other voices haha. I have over 600 recordings now.
I did try louder more like what they do here etc, yeah no, nope!
Oh also wanted to add on good days, I don’t need a sec or two to switch back and forth, it’s instant.

    Hi nice reaction.
Vocalists who can do multiple styles are definitely awesome, and Tatiana is great. If you want to see another vocalist who is great at switching singing styles, I suggest listening to Revamp "Disdain" live. The vocalist goes through at least 3 or 4 different styles in that one song. Here is the link.

So I'm going to throw some suggestions out there. There's not going to be a whole lot of rhyme or reason to it so here we go. In Hell I'll Be In Good Company by The Dead South, Holy Roller (Circle With Me or Belcara would also be good) by Spiritbox, QWERTY or We Are The Truth by Mushroomhead, Lyfjaberg by Wardruna, Wolf Totem by The HU, Mr. Pinstripe Suit by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.
