    What beautiful work you always put out from your soap, packaging, and even your video editing. Thank you be being so generous with your knowledge. May I ask, what is the the length and width of your bars? I’m really looking at buying that mold but not sure if it’ll work with boxes I have in mind. TIA

    • @OpheliasSoapery
      @OpheliasSoapery  5 років тому +1

      Little Pipestone Soap Co thank you!!
      The mold will cut 3 - 2.5”w X 4” h loaves.
      But I set my splitter to cut them a little skinner. Just a little over 2”.

    How long did you have the soap sit before you put the divots on top with the spoon? I love how that turned out.

  • @marjoriepitzer4453
    @marjoriepitzer4453 5 років тому

    Love your video and your soap!! I am wondering how you kept each layer so fluid while waiting to be poured on top? Didn't you mix all the oils and lye at once? How did you keep the soap from thickening before you poured it? Also, do you recommend your stick blender? What kind is it? Mine from Bramble Berry broke and I need a new one. Thanks!!

    • @OpheliasSoapery
      @OpheliasSoapery  5 років тому

      I hand mixed the lye water and oils in the beginning with just a whisk for about a minute. Then stick blended each color as I went :)
      I would recommend the Epica stick blender for large batches. I don’t really like it. It’s too powerful lol.
      My other one broke so I’ve had to use this one until my new Cuisine Art comes in. I like that brand a lot. They don’t last a long time but the power is just right for me. When they are too powerful my batter thickens up too fast.
