So, what Udoka did was bad enough for him to get suspended for a whole year and get Brad Stevens to tear up, but it wasn't bad enough for him to get fired?
They must’ve found something really bad cus wouldn’t firing him be the better choice if you are in the celtics organization. Would be less drama and less stress to all the women staff that got involved in speculations. And to ime coaching career to go out like thay
Arrested? I don’t think people usually get arrested for work place harassment. They may not have fired him. There are many many many examples of serial sexual harassers keeping their jobs for decades.
Not true, look at the bs that happened to Deshuan Watson. 20+ money hungry women who contacted each other and said hey did Deshaun do this to u? Yeah i think he did, well lets sue ! Even though the highest courts of law and its prosecutors REFUSED to put him on trial due to LACK OF EVIDENCE. But in the court of public opinion aka ultra radical feminist main stream media, he’a guilty. But he was NOT ARRESTED, he “only” got suspended. And the same thing is happening to Udoka because this nutty world we live in INSISTS we believe all women
He definitely slept with someone's wife in the front office. Too much confidentiality going around at the expense of the female employees who had NOTHING to do with this scandal
Because as he said it's a legal matter. They obviously can't discuss it. They probably had a settlement and signed NDAs to keep it under wraps but they still want to hold Udoka accountable for whatever he did.
If it was too deep they would if fired him Matt was told to shut up or he would lose his career.. I'm sleep with one of the top dogs wife and now he is being punished smh
The only thing that was unfair was that Ime is the only person in this consensual relationship that was outed. Whoever the female is should have been outed as well. Then there would be no speculation on who it is. That’s the Celtics fault. If it was consensual both people involved should have been outed or know one at all.
It's clear that no one wanted to loose their press credentials -- super soft-ball questions. No sure on the logic in not questioning Wyc disclosing the punishment e.g., throwing Udoka's reputation under the bus through innuendo -- without details of the infraction. Disclosing the details would end the rampant speculation regarding the entirety of the Celtics' female staff. That's what's unfair....
The fact they hired a legal firm to do the investigation should illustrate this was a legal matter. Releasing names or infractions opens folks up to a lawsuit. Is even firing a head coach for a consensual relationship even grounds for breaking a contract??? Another potential lawsuit.
There has to be more to this story. Just has to be. No way you suspend the coach for the entire season off of this. A heavy handed fine for this offense is one thing. This is OD.
I may be trying to hard to read between the lines, but it almost seems like by some of the questions they didn't answer, that they may be alluding to the fact that harassment was a part of the issue... There is clearly information being left out and I'm curious as to why that's the case
They should Release the Name of the Woman and her Picture! Give the same treatment yall gave Ime Udoka! She Also broke the rules! give hardship to her life and family like they gave Ime Udokas Family!
*Because it's a non-disclosure agreement. Plus it's a serious legal matter so in order to protect those involved you can't reveal everything about it until an investigation has concluded.*
I find it odd that no one else is being disciplined. I also find it odd that this relationship had repercussions that affected other people in the organization.
I said the same. The woman and her minority husband is being fully protected her. This is FAR TOO HARSH of a punishment and I don’t believe this sexual harassment bs at all.
If you're not going to disclose all of the details then this press conference shouldn't have happened. Just fire him and anyone else involved that broke your policy. You make it seem like a crime took place. If so get law enforcement involved. It's not a crime or an egregious act to have a consensual relationship with another adult regardless of how intimate or private the details may be.
This is all too vague. They saying protection for people in the organization , noone else lost a job, the only person in any trouble is Ime .. they aren't making this make sense in my opinion
Doesn’t make sense because they are inbred and more on the fact that he’s gonna lose his job is because he stepped over the line he’s a perverted old man that broke his contract and made accusations to a married woman Brad Stevens didn’t do that he didn’t hold his hand and encourage the coach to do that nor did anybody else in the Celcus organization did he was a perverted old man that did all this on his free actions 🤦♂️🤦♂️
They’re no t going to announce another employees firing. That’s not a public figure like the head coach is. Do teams announce when they fire a trainer? No
@@kimborampage well you don't talk that protection people in the organization all the while dragging this man in the mud.. in fact people get let go for this often and you don't hear about it at all..they put the information out that they coulda handled in house ..soto say it's a team rule then they both broke it so both should be held accountable
@@Fratordie315 the Celtics put zero information out there. It was leaked. Celtics only announced a violation and suspension. No details of affairs or anything.
Sounds like IME was smashing staff members. Somebody’s wife may have got caught, shit started hitting the fan more than likely the woman played the harassment card trying to save her marriage. IME probably crossed the line trying to do damage control after this. Just a big mess of wrongs on both sides.
Exactly this is stupid and uncalled for why give a press conference all to say nothing as there's always an indictment accusations harassment something they give absolutely nothing but wanna act all high and mighty fuck this shit fuck the Celtics
At 24:20 Wyc does bring up "Freedom from harassment in the workplace". That's the first time I've heard them use the word harassment to describe the situation
It’s PR. They don’t want to be framed as hiding or not taking the matter serious. They also want to get the questions out now before media day Monday. A political press dump strategy to come out on Friday. Their responses gets talked about Friday, Saturday and Sunday are the weekend, and by Monday everyone moved on as the media is discussing the football games from Sunday.
We learned 1 thing - Brad Stevens looked sad as hell. I bet it was his wife sleeping with Ime. Why else would he be so emotional for another man having sex? 🤷🏾♂️
The part about a consensual relationship was a leak from a source thought to be Udoka. Shams said the woman filed a complaint of sexual harassment against him.
The Celtics put out that it was a consentual relationship between two adults. But that would not justify a year suspension unless other things happened. So Stevens own organization is allowing that speculation. Don't blame Twitter....own up to your mistakes.
@@almac9203 the reports to this day state consensual! If ime put out that statement why haven’t the Celtics corrected the claims? Because it was consensual
@@shannonkamal5029 it is not in the interests of the Celtics to comment on the situation beyond the minimum that they can get away with. It is not in their interest to leak that information. The Celtics have released as little information as possible. Shams report stated that the Celtics intially believed that the relationship was consensual but the woman later complained of unwanted comments. The intial leak came from Udoka as he wanted to frame the narrative of a run of the mill consensual relationship before the information regarding sexual harassment leaked. Remember the woman complained about the unwanted comments which prompted the investigation by the legal firm. It is obvious that Udoka had the motive to leak that it was consensual. It is Udoka's reputation on the line so he was motivated to leak it. What would be the motive for the Celtics to save Udoka's reputation? Getting it out there that it was consensual makes Udoka look better which benefits Udoka. If it wasn't leaked before the stuff about the woman's complaint and the sexual harassment his reputation would have been trashed. The Celtics held a press conference and they never once said it was consensual! Not once. It was a straight no comment.
they never said ime was a good man. they never even said anything after his name . he probably crossed a big line and they just giving him a year while everything plays out. its still in the he said she said mode and it started consensual or at first she said consensual and then flipped her script wether it was for the money or hate or whatever to protect herself and her own marriage with a higher up.
If their hands were tied, I feel like something bigger is gonna come down the line. Brad looks super upset. Y’all can speculate that it was a consensual relationship but I can’t see them suspending him if it was just an inappropriate relationship. And they brought in lawyers?! Can’t wait to find out the whole story.
Maybe it was consensual at start but maybe she tried breaking it off and he start harassing her or something or he had been warned to start relationship and he didn’t…… could be a lot of different things but it for sure is more then just the relationship
Unless it's the white wife of a higher up in the organization sleeping with the black coach. You might think it wouldn't matter but in Boston it absolutely would.
It must be a Boston policy. Because didn’t Phil Jackson married the general manager of the Lakers. Players from every team has dated cheerleaders & front office personnel. If you spend all your time in one place, you will build relationships with the people you are around. What is her name? Is that fair? I believe there is something bigger coming.
Really kind to give the suspension. Even Bill Gates had to give up seat on board after disclosure of him carrying on an affair with a subordinate. Place the company in legal jeopardy. These guys have fiduciary duty to shareholders.
@@keenannorris3309 Maybe. Could have canned him and talked of him poorly. They didn't. Kind is pretty good adjective to describe how they have treated him since he is cause of organization being subject to a lawsuit. And there is plenty of time for her to file.
Innocent people were dragging unnecessarily due to a lack of transparency by the Celtics organization. You shield ONE individual in a consensual relationship between TWO people.. The handling of this situation stinks to high heaven and just because the coach accepts the punishment doesn't mean that it fits the violation.
Of course it fits. In fact he should be fired. He was fucking a subordinate and probably giving them preferential treatment at the expense of other staff members in the organization. You are clueless.
Dear Michelle, shut up, you know nothing about what happened, some people know it, like Matt Barnes and he said this shit is pretty bad and that he prays for all the affected parties. Matt Barnes said that, someone who has lived pretty harsh stuff in his life. This will eventually get leaked but until that happens, stop with this dumb nonsense you're talking about.
you know NOTHING! How do YOU know it was Consensual? He's come out and apologized and accepted a HUGE suspension so he must have done something wrong but ill wait till i have a little more information before making ignorant statements in a comments section!
There's no way if two people are involved in an incident and it's consensual that only one of them gets reprimanded. This whole thing just stinks there's a cover-up going on and even though the Celtics coach should be reprimanded so should the woman. But she's white and her husband is in upper level management so she gets a pass? I have never liked the Celtics and I've always known that they were a racist one-sided organization. This just further solidifies those thoughts.
Twitter is so sad sometimes. Boston comes out condemning Ime Udoka for his actions and people are really stupid enough to sit there and say "he got punished for having sex" as if it was that black and white. Leading to accusations and doxxing of the women who never even said anything publicly yet. Anyone can hear how emotionally invested Brad Stevens is, there is clearly details that havent been revealed beyond what we know so far.
Twitter is fucking cancer. As if a professional sports team as revered and historic as the Boston Celtics wouldn't have avoided suspending their HC for an entire year as a top-echelon contender unless Ime's behavior was egregious is a moron.
Listening to these two.... I can help but think that the 'me too' movement played a major role in their decisions and in their demeanor. The come off like beta males. They announce that the head coach is suspended. But, they say nothing about the woman. Was she suspended? Last I checked it takes two adults to have a consensual affair or relationship. Yet under the shield of confidentiality she is not mentioned by name and we don't know her consequence. She's the victim. The coach is the villain. We get it guys. Total beta bullshit....
You know women can be "evil". But it ain't about that, more like sounds like, she's married, and coach shoulda known better. Especially, if her spouse is in the same organization or similar.
Or Brad straight vouched for this moron. And this is how this undisciplined fool acted. Sleeping with the VP'S wife. Brad feels betrayed as he should. Have you no honor
2 things 1. If it wasn't sexual harassment, they would've said so. 2. If it wasn't sexual harassment, he wouldn't have been suspended 1 year. Hence, it was sexual harassment or he was with the wrong person's wife
If I had to guess, it started off as some sort of consensual relationship, she probably ended it and he wouldn't accept that and started harassing her. The woman likely didn't want to make it a legal issue but accepted some sort of deal with the Celtics, signed some documents that neither she nor the Celtics can actually discuss what happened, to keep her identity confidential and the Celtics then decided to suspend him for what he did. It would make sense as to why they refuse to discuss what actually happened.
I bet Ime is figuring out a way to contact another team and resign... if im him ... I'd quit... poach the staff of your favorite coaches... some will move with him... and poach some of the players in the long run too. There's both coaches and players that ate thinking you just got thrown under the bus to appease some secretary. And if that offends somebody im sorry... work somewhere else.
I hope TMZ gets the whole scoop on what this organization is holding back on why they blasted this man if they were not going to fire him. Whoever brought up the 2nd to last and the last question you are a beast
I really think that Ime Udoka put the Celtics organization in a really tough predicament here whereas whatever decision the Celtics would've made, there would've been questions or criticism into how their organization is run. And as much as I love and respect Ime as a head coach, I honestly don't know what the future is going to hold for him as a returning head coach for this team. As a Celtics fan, I feel embarrassed, hurt, and this is just a really tough day for Celtics nation.
If its more than just sleeping with a coworker then they should just come out and say it. But if they are suspending him just for that then I f@$k the Celtics and hope they dont see the playoffs this year. Ime should quit and go sign with the Nets
What are you talking about? Ime didn’t leak it… Boston leaked it. Look at what they did to Isaiah Thomas, of course there going to do the to Ime! They don’t want to pay him.

He didn't do this alone, he didn't break policy by himself, another willing party or participant was in this and willing also, so she needs to b on blast too right along next to him. And for the other willing participant, to not face any actions or consequences, it's not right or fair.
No proof but the rumor is it's Kathleen Lynch. Wife of a Celtics VP (apparently not true). Apparently, she deleted all of her social media a few days ago, perhaps in anticipation of this.
This is nonsense. I looked into her background and she is not married to a VP in the organization. They just happen to share the same last name. Her actual husband is not affiliated with the Celtics at all. People need to stop with these rumors.

"No else is facing penalty or reprimand." Now it's starting to sound highly likely that one of the women involved could have been the wife of management or a higher up. How is it that Ime is publicly blasted (He deserved to be fired, you should never date coworkers, neighbors, or classmates ) but the woman/women involved in what an independent company defined as "Consensual" not being punished is flagrant. As others have said. Imagine if this was two women? Would neither be fired? Imagine if it was two men would they both be gone. You can't not claim to be proactive and in the support of women but allow the women who were wrong to keep their jobs. Suspending him is a complete waste of time. Just fired him. Holding him hostage and not punishing the other parties. So he violated badly enough to be suspended for a year... But not out right let go to protect the women in the workplace? The same women the Celtics protected by leaking the info to Woj and other side sources.
It was someone in a high level job in the organization! That I can tell by the energy and that layered statement the first guy gave. It takes two to tango, why is the woman not being held accountable? They both broke the rules. Them protecting the female so much really says alot. To me it seems like there protecting the man of the cheating wife. Looking at Brad's emotions, I'm going to say it's someone close to him.
Is the woman a public figure.....for legal reasons they can't release her name nor probably take swift action because of the potential for a lawsuit. It's also why they hired the legal firm to brief them what steps to take after the investigation
Why not terminate the coach? If the coach is suspended, why not handle the situation internally? Why allow the leakages? This seems so messy for an internal situation. For having a law firm investigate and present findings, this feels so unmanaged. Nothing should have been leaked to the press. Today should be the day that we know of the suspension and nothing else should be said.
You make it seem like the Celtics wanted this to happen you do know the girl lawyered up right she was gonna eventually come out with that so much like the married husband would’ve to the coach the perverted dirty old man that couldn’t keep his pants broke his contract against a married woman is it called damage control just much like any other organization would do.
why 'allow' leakages? ok, because leaks introduce themselves, send you a calendar invite, and give you an opportunity to patch them up before they become a problem. 🤡
why not terminate the coach? there are multiple reasons why 'postponing' his termination is the correct decision. maybe they don't want him to be hired to coach another franchise with all of his intimate knowledge of the celtics' gameplan for this season? maybe the celtics are hoping their relationship with ime can be salvaged (especially if joe mazzulla cannot win the players over or lead them to the finals)? it's also conceivable that the celtics don't feel they have enough information (yet) to actually warrant firing ime? rest assured, the celtics have way more information than any of us in the youtube comments, so maybe we shouldn't be negative or judgemental with what little we know about what's happening.
Why didn't anyone ask if there's a criminal investigation underway? One way or the other, the answer would speak volumes about the seriousness of the allegations.
I’m not defending Ime at all, what he did was wrong. But you telling me that this was a CONSENSUAL RELATIONSHIP that took place between him and another woman… but only he will be punished, not the woman who was involved at all?!?!?! They screwed this up from the start. They simply should have fired him and explained it as a policy issue, but they chose to create a soap opera for the media and put the blame on social media for speculating about the other party who is not being held accountable for her role in the “Consensual.” Relationship.
They should both be accountable. I'm sure the staff knew the rules as well, they should both be suspended. Nothing mentioned about the woman of course. If she is married, her information should be released so her husband can divorce her.
Why release her info? So the Twitter mob and internet can't destroy her? What does that accomplish? Udoka will get another job You're a dink. It's obviously a legal matter hence why nothing can be said

Yes, both are accountable for the affair. Here’s where Udoka is (allegedly) guilty and she isn’t: the affair started out consensual but then Udoka harassed and stalked her after she broke it off-not good considering she’s married. If all it was was a consensual affair then yes, it takes two to tango and punish should be equal. But it now appears that Udoka didn’t accept that it was over. I’ve defended Udoka until I found out about that aspect of it.
Let me get this straight... Ime Udoka was involved in a CONSENSUAL workplace relationship with a co-worker BUT all we hear about in this sham of a "press conference" is only information demonizing and vilifying him along with detailed information about punitive action taken against him. We do not hear anything about the woman who knew he was engaged and still got involved in a consensual relationship with him which violated Celtic workplace guidelines. Who is she, what is her name and what if any punitive action was taken against her? Oh that's right...she is a woman and also white so it makes total sense that she should be protected and treated as a victim. He is a man and also black so it would make total sense that he should be treated as the aggressor who "took advantage of her" so he should be publicly destroyed and left "hung" out to dry by the Celtics. Even some of the questions asked and comments made in this press conference had so many uncomfortable racial undertones which made me cringe. I almost burst out in laughter when this hypocritical fool almost blubbered into tears about "these poor women" (probably white) who didn't deserve some Twitter comments...give me a frigging break!!! Granted Ime Udoka is a world class IDIOT for tricking off his career, reputation and potential wife for some potato salad/cole slaw/wonderbread....but whoever 'she' is, she should also share some of this public scrutiny and judgement with him.
What I took away from this is that while Ime violated some established rule, there wasn't a clearly defined consequence for that violation. The suspension was a decision by owners and leadership to reflect whatever had been done. Which is interesting. Ime could potentially have a case on his hands if he wanted to claim any sort of disrimination against the organization becausse there is no clearly defined protocols.

The only thing that was unfair was that Ime is the only person in this consensual relationship that was outed. Whoever the female is should have been outed as well. Then there would be no speculation on who it is. That’s the Celtics fault. If it was consensual both people involved should have been outed or know one at all.

They DIDN'T Fire him BECAUSE they don't want him to coach AGAINST THEM
Right
Why not terminate the coach?
Termination means he needs to get paid
If hes suspended they was gonna have to talk about it anyway leak or not.
why 'allow' leakages? ok, because leaks introduce themselves, send you a calendar invite, and give you an opportunity to patch them up before they become a problem. 🤡
why not terminate the coach? there are multiple reasons why 'postponing' his termination is the correct decision. maybe they don't want him to be hired to coach another franchise with all of his intimate knowledge of the celtics' gameplan for this season? maybe the celtics are hoping their relationship with ime can be salvaged (especially if joe mazzulla cannot win the players over or lead them to the finals)? it's also conceivable that the celtics don't feel they have enough information (yet) to actually warrant firing ime? rest assured, the celtics have way more information than any of us in the youtube comments, so maybe we shouldn't be negative or judgemental with what little we know about what's happening.
Why didn't anyone ask if there's a criminal investigation underway? One way or the other, the answer would speak volumes about the seriousness of the allegations.

Thats her spin cause she got caught. he did not stalk her. dont start lying
So you don't know who the woman was but she's white? OK. No bias here.
@@bpdmf2798 Bruh...she's white ⛄️
@@kanyewest715 If you know her skin color you must know who she is. Care to let us know who it is?
My cousin is one of the Celtics starters and he told me Udoka smashed Brad Stevens wife 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️ I guess don’t hate the playa hate the game. 😂😂
Who's your cousin?
What I took away from this is that while Ime violated some established rule, there wasn't a clearly defined consequence for that violation. The suspension was a decision by owners and leadership to reflect whatever had been done. Which is interesting. Ime could potentially have a case on his hands if he wanted to claim any sort of disrimination against the organization becausse there is no clearly defined protocols.
nahh he probably crossed a big line and they just giving him a year while everything plays out. its still in the he said she said mode and it started consensual or at first she said consensual and then flipped her script wether it was for the money or hate or whatever to protect herself and her own marriage with a higher up. i can tell because they never said ime was a good man.
He slept with someone he wasn't supposed to obviously. It was consensual at first, but her husband found out. She ended it but Ime kept pursuing or continued to make comments and now she probably suing for sexual harassment.
@@j.c.s5630 the definitely not talking like they like the guy. He will never step foot on the court again as the head coach of the Celtics.
Is The suspension with or without pay???

Sexual harassment
I caught that too, first time he brought up the specific policy of a harassment free workplace
Now, they are saying it's sexual harassment. But she said it was a consensual relationship so someone is lying.
@@sidcitris4162 They gave 3 different stories in the last 24 hours.
@@tajgibson8776 who is "she" in your comment? The anonymous leak to shams to get ahead of the story which could easily have been from the Udoka camp to soften the public reaction?
Ime won’t coach again; at least for the Celtics. None of this makes sense. They are leaving out major details which will eventually come out and Im sure it’s not going to be pretty. Stevens was almost in tears for christ shakes. The 1 year suspension is just to hold them over to do a longer investigation. 1 year just shades how significant his actions were. Terrible situation for everyone involved but it’s hard not to be resentful towards Ime. He’s caused serious distress throughout the entire franchise, one of which was 2 games away from a Championship. Shame
Maybe the results should be made public. Be transparent so we know if justice was served. If the Robert Sarver details were out there then this should be out. The whole leak about it being consensual was a leak from an anonymous source not the Celtics. We don't know if it was consensual or if there was harassment. So this is serious enough to suspend him but not serious enough to fire him? We have no idea if that's fair or not. Hopefully Matt Barnes or someone else leaks the truth.
He’s suspended but I’m not gonna tell you why lol😂
How the h*** is the consensual relationship warranted one year suspension come on stop it

Breaking News and Topics...
I been playing basketball about half of my life. Just outdoors basic basketball.
I have watch some of the greatest players in the world and been a student of the game ever since I was a child.
I have said on many occasions what the N.B.A. is playing now is gimmick basketball because there are no true coaches in the N.B.A.
Everybody just copies what they thinks works. Everybody is scared of their star players.
Denver had a Championship team the year they had JaVale McGee, but the coach was completely clueless that if he would have started JaVale at center and moved joker to power forward no team in the N.B.A. would have been able to match up with them.
But you know what the Denver fans told me.... Joker don't want to play power forward.
You throw away a Championship because ...Joker ....smh...are you serious?
No real coaches, no real fans, no real players, just all tricks and smoking mirrors.
The sad part is I could take any team in the N.B.A. and take them back to fundamentals
and respect and pride and win a Championship my first year as coach.
But I will never get a chance because owners only allow puppet coaches to run their team.
It's a veery sad trend and it's killing the N.B.A.

I am confused why Ime is gonna get dragged through the mud but the woman who is equally responsible as they were both consenting adults get completely shielded from any scrutiny. They BOTH made their bed they should BOTH have to lie in it. I could see she was victim of sexual abuse or violence, but it she was consenting why only protect her privacy. If you said her name all the other women in the organization would not have to be under microscope.
She ain't the head coach buddy no one cares lol
She's already changing her story, removing her accountability. This should be a lesson for men on why not to do things like this. He's on an island alone at this point,
imagine a situation where ime (unmarried) has an affair with a female staffer (married). she tries to break it off to save her marriage/family, but ime doesn't respect the change in their relationship and crosses the line into harrassment. doesn't that legally implicate the celtics to take disciplinary action? wouldn't they want to protect her privacy in hopes that she can still preserve her family? how can you not grasp the gravity of this situation that ime put everyone in or appreciate that the celtics have done the right (and best) thing they could do?
@@jennyfromjapan is that what happened because I had not heard that. Is that a fact ot a theory? I also do not really care to be blunt she decided to sleep with Ime willing.
