It's Sonic but with Persona gameplay. I'll be honest, I never played the Persona games, or RPG's for that matter. And the reason is simple, I don't like RPG's... like... at all (only exception being Undertale, but that one is the outlier). I won't explain why I don't like them in the description, but even with that in mind, I still find this SRB2 mod to be really really REALLY cool.
And after playing it... I still don't like RPG's... but dammit if it isn't worth playing.

Thank you for making this awesome SRB2 mod. I enjoyed it a great deal, despite my distaste for RPG's.
I'm more leaning towards short but highly replayable games, that's why I prefer arcade-like games, be it action games, racing games, old-school FPS games, etc.

It would be literal suicide for blaze.
Well, in p3, the one the characters' personas seem to be from, the mc was the one with a fire based persona, and the character most like Blaze had an ice based one. So basically blame how both mcs in persona 3 have fire by default and the party is designed to cover as many bases as possible, with little overlap.
Edit: I suck at research. Changed my statement to be more accurate.

@@guffingtonreal It's a source port but at the core it is still the same engine, just with some modifications to make it easier to play around with.
6:06 I never thought a fusion of Persona 3/4 era all out attack with the newer persona 5 all out attack was possible, but i found it.
I like how you can play in Tartarus, listen to “last surprise” as battle music, and have the persona 4 victory music at the same time.

Surprised that they don't have their own unique Persona. I get that it's meant to be based on P3, given the Dark Hour and the layout of the area and so on but still, missed opportunity.
I think that Robin Hood would be a much better fit for Sonic than Orpheus.
This is still a demo only stuff that's really functioning is the online stuff and this tutorial so they are probably bringing more stuff so they might change the personas

Tails should start with Obariyon, given how he stumbled upon and attached to Sonic and metaphorically "slows him down" by encouraging him to have attachments and a home. Knuckles should start with Shiisaa, because... kinda obvious.

That's what seperates Persona from other RPG games
Persona 5 manages to be an RPG that I love. I don't like a lot of RPGs. I intend on playing the other games, but at least persona 5 has many features that makes the battles less tedious and- you know what just watch RelaxAlax's video on it, it explains what I try to say about this game perfectly
if you interested in persona or in the megaten franchise you should try persona 5, it is the more newcomer friendly, it's not a masterpiece but still a pretty good game, would really recommend it
I also thought I would never get into any RPGs apart from Undertale, but it was only until I played with Joker in Smash Ultimate that I decided to take the plunge. Persona 3 changed my life, to say the least.
Apart from that, this mod looks so good, I can't believe they managed to pull this off.
Lmao I got into Persona because my neighbor was playing Persona 5 at my house on his ps4. It was interesting to me so I bought Persona 3 and let's just say it was nice being a Persona fan when Joker got announced.
This came out of nowhere! I played and beat Persona 3 for the first time earlier this year and this popping up is a pleasant surprise!

So, based on everyone’s personas... Sonic is Minato/Makoto, Tails is Ken, Amy is Yukari, Knuckles is Akihiko, Shadow is Junpei, Blaze is Mitsuru, and I don’t recognize Silver’s, but thankfully, it has psychic skills. Nice. :)

Sonic was very happy to see all of his friends.
But one night. When clock hits 12.
Dark hour has been begins.
Sonic lost all of his memories and turned in to monster. He was the same. He's saw a Gun. Monsters appear. He's clicked the gun. And...
(GLASS BROKE)
Personas appeared.
Monsters running from them.
A boy with funky colors named Zach who was a persona user.
Now sonic and Zach and his friends must save sonic and the world. To be continued.
Some things might need a few tweaks but other than that, impressive work.

Hey Marius, have you checked out that Super Mystic Sonic mod? It's super overpowered and fast, but requires alot of skill to do efficiently, judging by how good you are at this game, you may wanna try it out.
