- I don't think anyone did this so I decided to do it myself, where I put in the lyrics with the video! Thanks to how much I like ICO and this song and Team Ico them selves, plus being excited about The Last Guardian, I really wanted to do this xD I would've done it too with SotC if it had a song like this..
anyways, I hope you all enjoy it!
this song and game are beautiful ;P
Man, I haven't played this game since I was 11. It was over 13 years ago. I forgot this song existed until just randomly. I start humming it and start singing the words I'm like. What is that? I forgot how much I loved this song. My mom literally used to play in her car sometimes😂
Good to see there is still people here
ICO is a master piece.
Beat this game in 4 hours. Have been emotionally scarred for months and will never recover. Beautiful game, beautiful song, most depressing thing I have ever experienced.
Amazing how emotionally involved you get with barely any cutscenes and the main characters speaking two different languages. Such an incredible revolutionary game.
Every time Yorda falls short of completing a jump and is hanging off the edge of a cliff my heart races a little faster as I pull her up.
indeed. this game was something else.
@@raihanahazmina2642 i liked it more than SOTC but both are 10
this game made me so sad... then shadow of the colossus made me cry like a baby... can't wait to see what the last guardian will make with my emotions
+Kurt Stark So true...
Despite most people doesn't agree with this kind of endings, for me is different.
It's not like I enjoy being sad or something like that, is just that unespected endings are the best, and even more if you can trigger more than 1.

This is the real way to subvert the audience expectations. Not a bait and switch but with a tragic irony.
manly tears were shed at the end :'| beautiful song! goes GREAT with the game! Just listening to the OST man this game was really something else
༼;´༎ຶ ༎ຶ༽
Whenever I recommend this to other people I am at a loss to describe the hundreds of details that make it so touching. A lost child leading a blind girl by the hand, the desolate setting, you have to ... be there.
This game was so amazing ;-; I want to erase it from my mind and experience it all again omg. It's weird, the game actually makes you feel like saving Yorda... I mean it actually motivates you and makes you care about her.... This game was so amazing and powerful and now i am playing SotC haah
hearing this song when I ended all the quests all the hard puzzles this game is litterally a masterpiece it doesnt give u any hints ur the one who is supose to figure evreything I wish I can play this but my ps2 toke a lot of dammage and I dont have a ps3 but well I have the memories
Wow. I could never understand the lyrics, but they describe events of the game perfectly! Thank you!
I just beat this game a couple days ago, and I must say, what an emotional work of art this game had to behold :,)
I had no idea this song was sung in english. I can't understand a word without the lyrics.
Same but once you see those lyrics they become ingrained.
listen to The World God Only Knows opening
I could make out some of the words. But the lyrics really helped me follow along.
This game is sad and beutiful. The storyline is great and the ending makes sence.
Amazing game and ending and I was so relieved yorda was okay.
I don't understand why Steven Geraghty was not given credit for singing on this song. The writer Lynne Hobday was given credit, but not the vocalist. I thought this would be corrected when the HD collection was released. But his name was still left out. Shadow Of The Colossus did not have a song with vocals at the end. Does anyone think The Last Guardian will?
Is 'nonomori' thank you?
I love this song, it's so beautiful >w
Yes, it means thank you.
Great music for a pure masterpiece.....enchanting theme.
On of the best ending sequenes ever
@Robertsmith2002
I agree.
Let's just hope they don't suddenly cancel the game...
'cause it's almost like they're trying to make people forget the game exists with how long we've waited
This song is fucking great.
Allauyes...
Damn Great game. Damn great music.
This is a true Masterpiece..
We don’t really know what that means. It is in a made up language.
But it probably means “Goodbye”.
13 years ago. I'm old.
best......song......EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
True, but we know there is hope :)
@onewingedgamersephy
Yes xD
It's probably just hard to decipher what he's singing without looking up the lyrics.
would be amazing if pixar or disney made a movie of this, w/this song @ the end.
Wonderful job :')
Because castrato singers are rare and expensive to hire.
so sad :'(
Esse Jogo é lendário ! Quase choro só de ouvir e lembrar oque esse jogo me faz sentir....
I coudn't understand anything before on the japanesenglish, thanks for the lirics
remember have a beach in sotc that ressemble of the Ico
oh, I see what you mean. I thought you meant there's still hope that we won't feel sad in the end.. like something was coming.. something to expect.. xP
イコとワンダを超えるゲームを今だ見たことがない・・・凄く美しく芸術的作品だ。
世界から絶賛された理由がよく理解できる。
次作品が待ち遠しい・・・
It's been too long since I played this.
I can't wait any longer for The Last Guardian!! Pleeaase, hurry! :(
Btw, this song is lovely *.*
If you think about it enough, this song alludes to both ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, even though SotC was made after this song was written.
SO MANY FEELS
The singer is a young Sean Garrety(sp?) .... beautiful game / beautiful song .... GREAT GAME......
This song is up there with Utada's "Simple and Clean"
I was thinking the same thing! Even tho this comment is like months late 😂
Jurvus Gee better late than never
Love simple and clean but I think you were there towers far above simple and clean.
@majormelthesackboy
I was raised and still living in a religiously Christian family that's pretty controlling myself. But this song to them is something holy in comparison to the tons of music I listen to all the time xD
Either way, this song is beautiful (as much as i'm sure you can agree otherwise you wouldn't listen to it) and the lyrics aren't vulgar so I can't help but feel bad for you
Just finished this game for the first time today. Enchanting atmosphere (both the visuals and the music) and story made for a very enjoyable time. I wasn't really wowed by the actual gameplay though. Some decent puzzles, some terrible, and annoying combat in between with manual save points forcing you to re-solve the whole puzzle or redo an annoying fight from one little slip up. And I hated the camera. The very last section of the game was definitely my favorite, with how different it was.
Yes.
@absiliomundus Actually, some very powerful films can made with few to no spoken lines. Have you seen "Angel's Egg" or "Baraka?"
@absiliomundus
The game ending is sad, this great music only adds to that, but the real ending of the game brings hope, and makes this music not so sad.
D; DAMMIT YORDA!!! YOU MADE ME CRY AGAIN!!!!! D;
Eu amo a yorda, ela sempre será minha princesa.
@absiliomundus Have you seen "Angel's Egg?" You don't need vocals to make a powerful and moving film.
@BayTears
Actually, I agree....excluding the lack of vocals xD
The original ending is a bit different than the remake one's.
If you play the remake, you will notice that the song starts a bit earlier.
best game
any word on when The Last Guardian comes out
It has a similar sound a feel to Walking in the Air.
A nice takeaway from this game is that you can subvert the audience’s expectations and have the princess save the hero without making her a “strong female character”.
@natalia2010bestyear: She's was already human and she does become "normal" at the end...
Did you play the game???
It's so sad :(
what is better?? shadow of the collusus or ICO ???
Both
Well i think there both really great games but ill say shadow of the colousus but ico is still pretty awesome :)
I'll find you "Yorda"!
When she sings "From the shadows of my mind" I would be funny if sang instead "From the Shadows of the Colossi" :)
... I MUST GET A PS3!
Jogão!
So shadow of the colossus is a prequel to this?
***** ok thanks
What's kind of people in this story
初めてゲームのエンディングで泣いた思い出の曲。(´;ω;`)
who are the hopeless warriors?
The shadow creatures I’m guessing.
@majormelthesackboy
huh? why?
Who sings this and were can I download it??
Is this game available on PC??
Jagdmesser I don't think so, with what it was made for the ps2 and ps3. But I think you could emulate the game onto the PC
I've just finished the game for about an hour- but this shit stick in my head. The song is fucking awesome
@absiliomundus tell me about it.
why does this song remind me of the little mermaid???!?!?!?!
@Robertsmith2002
Sadly, no
:,D
the last guardian in 2016 :´)
Anderson Mora Agüero OMG...I can't wait. SONY should put out another HD collection for the PS4 & include a playable demo for The Last Guardian. The wait is almost over.......almost. :)

NO DISLIKES ! Oh yeah . ;)
wait... THE SONG IS IN ENGLISH?!? I thought it was Japanese or something.
The original version was.
How nice of them to modify and translate them for us.
@absiliomundus damn, with all the games thats out today they just dont make um like this anymore, with the storyline, music, dialogue. sad
What? :o
說好的最後的守護者呢!?
Okay, okay...
Wow my comment has so many thumbs down o.o
I'll make another bad one xDD
English is a staple language everywhere more or less. The United States is one of the only countries that I know of that doesn't teach another language in Elementary Schools, or other countries counterpart of Elementary Schools.
:/ being carried by his woman... lame boy
