Nice. Sounds like it's going to be a cool trip. Looking forward to seeing it.
Cheers Kev 👍😊
I love it when adventures start with a downpour
Lol we certainly got wet on this one 😁
Bonny Scotland. Always a thrilling adventure just to get to the starting point!
Yeah absolutely :D
Nah then ey up me duck, been awhile.
Looking forward to seeing your Scottish adventure fella.
Ay a good'un me owd 🚣🙂👍
Cheers buddy, good to hear from you again :)
Right I am locked "loched" in. looking forward to my afternoon with Karl
Can't wait to read what you think 😁👍
We arrived at Loch Lomond on the 17th! There was no snow to be seen! Absolutely love the drive you did through Glencoe. Fortunately it had cleared up when we went and was beautiful (I'd share pics if I could!)
We headed to Fort William for the day as there is a beautiful walk there that we do!
Looking forward to watching these videos! 😁 We both love Scotland 💜 such a beautiful place!
Also stopped off a Green Welly Stop, it's kind of compulsory right?? 🤣
Just realised this was April, we went in June. Midges were a nightmare though! 😂
Yeah I love Scotland 😁 we purposely went in April to avoid the midges 😅
I'm based around this area, the Esk is a lovely paddle for wildlife watching. If you go from the harbour you have to carry up the slippy weir at ruswarp (free) or carry out and put back in at the top of the weir for a cost of £5, which gives you an extra mile or so of nice paddling.
You've confused me here...
This trip is in Scotland and yet the Esk is in North Yorkshire 🤔😁
@@MoreThanJustaCleaner sorry mate, I was supposed to be replying to the bloke from Guisborough further down!
@@shaunamoose7809 lol that makes more sense 😅
I really hope the weather played ball, it’s a spectacular area, looking forward to the vids, really need to get my finger out and get myself up there, after all it’s only 2 hours drive from the house lol
Lol it's worth it 👍😁
I'd love to do trips like this but as a solo paddler it's always hard logistically. I spent quite a bit of time on Derwentwater at the weekend, I also went on Loch Ness and Loch Lomand last year. Currently planning a trip on the Tees, or the Esk.
Whereabouts are you based James?
@@MoreThanJustaCleaner Guisborough, north of Whitby
@@JamesCre would you like to join my channel kayaking group? We've got members from Merseyside to Humberside and from Tyneside down the M1 corridor to Sleaford area.
If members are going out and want company they'll share the deets. We get to see places we wouldn't normally get to. If you would find my contact details on my homepage and drop me a PM with your number 👍😊
Fingers-crossed the wind blew in the right direction for you guys. It's such an epic famous trail, I'm really looking forward to seeing the rest of the trail videos and to find out your choice of the river Oich or Caledonian canal section to reach Loch Ness too.
You'll enjoy it 😁👍
@@MoreThanJustaCleaner As sure as night follows day, Karl. I know which option I wouldn't be able to resist and with 'the Machine' for company, I'm not sure anyone would have much choice anyway.
Oh, we had a choice... lol
Can't wait to watch this series Karl! We were up there last week, no paddling unfortunately, but we traveled that exact route and stopped off at Neptune staircase. I've watched lots of other UA-camrs do The Great Glen Challenge, and I wish you luck (even though this was in April?)
Check out 'Simon, a bloke in the woods' channel, he did it for charity a few years ago. Not seen anyone attempt it in an inflatable craft, so I'll look forward to your coming videos
Hello Claire, how are you?
Yes I've seen Simon's vids. I hope you enjoy our version :D
