Hey Trevor, I appreciate you taking time to comment. I agree with your poetic description of the wonder of the world. I would enjoy hearing your composition when it is completed.
I've been enjoying your videos you share with us. Tahoe has always fascinated me, above water and below. It's history is fascinating. To imagine how over 100-150 years ago, the land was stripped of its' trees. And I'm sure some of those trees were possibly used as rafts to transport people/goods from place to place before there were developed roads. And the geological formations of the rocks and layers is awesome. And many people don't realize how deadly the cold waters can be, even in summer. I lived in Kings Beach for 7 years('97-'04 owning/operating a hotel). I have the big Lake Tahoe book telling it's history. Again, thanks for your videos.
A couple of things that really stick with me: 1. Lake looked very healthy. 👍 2. There wasn't nearly as much human trash as I expected, thankfully. 3. The topography was absolutely stunning, and very surprising. The sedimentary layers, along with apparent river channels were fascinating to see. I'm wondering why there were so many trees out that far from the banks. Also, I saw some interesting large spherical rocks, whereas most were more flattened, akin to river stones. Thanks for sharing this footage. It really was fascinating!
I am glad you enjoyed it. I had read that there was an eraof drought that persisted in this area for several hundred years. It ended 4 or 5 hundred years ago. Another lake I dive in this area has trees still standing upright over 100 feet deep. When they were studied cuttings were taken and the wood still smelled fresh. It is an amazing area to explore. BTW, your comment is refreshing!

Good Morning Mark, Finally trying to catch up on your videos. Hahahaha Press Button For Gas Attendant. Made me laugh so hard. Great sign. Would make a cool yard suncatcher wind chime. But is is also great as it is. All is good here. Still recovering from a tick bite. Never had one react so badly. Sent me to urgent care and was treated for two weeks on high dose antibiotics which require me to stay out of the sun during treatment and for two weeks after. Really crimps my yard work style. Thankfully the sun goes down about 8PM here and it stays light enough to work outside until 10PM. Hopefully this will stop the possibility of my getting limes from this little sucker. First time I have ever had an issue like this. I feel great now so lots getting done inside. Finally oiled all my kitchen and laundry room cabinets. 12 years old it was time. They look all clean and new again. I have a couple more of your videos to catch up on. Hopefully later on today. Thanks for sharing.
Chris... so good to hear from you. I actually just videoed a round up, from a dive I did and I mentioned you, asking you to contact me because I had not heard from you! So when the video appears in the next 3 or 4 weeks disregard the plea, unless I edit that out... if I remember to edit it out... Lyme disease can be awful, I hope you do not have it. Still doing art projects? You mentioned once you might be interested in the lens from the unusable sunglasses for an art project, let me know if this is still the case. : ) Mark
@@mokpot Aw how nice you were thinking about me and put out an SOS. YES lenses would be so fun to have. Even beat up. Yes I am still doing art only lately my houseplants have taken up a lot of time. So while I can not garden outside I am gardening inside. All those wee cuttings I traded about with others have grown large and need trellises to climb. Once again using recycled stuff to build them. Three different plants I have had for well over 30 years. GAWD I am getting old. Still just as crazy though.
The last time I knew that lake Tahoe has over50 natural springs feeding it. They say IRS 99.9 %pure spring water .its so clean you can see the bottom in over 100ft deep.
Wow, came across your video and was intrigued. I live in Sacramento and have been to Lake Tahoe tons of times. When I see the lake I always wondered what was down on the bottom. Like others surprised there was no fish 🐠 or plants, plus pretty clear. What end of the lake do you visit, how deep were you? They say the lake is so treacherous but maybe that is in the deep middle part. Anyway, this was cool, like to seem more videos since I have a fear of scuba diving so I will live vicariously through you.
Because of my general low opinion of humanity, I would have expected a LOT more trash on the bottom of Tahoe. Pleasantly surprised.
Don’t be fooled, there’s plenty of garbage down there, it’s just all covered in dirt and Algae

Minnows and a few trout in this area, trout are camera shy. The larger fish stay near the deep sections , it is in the high sierra mountians, I have dived a dozen lakes in this region, all are similar
Fish need food. Just rocks don’t cut it.
Why are there no fish?
I was actually just going to make that same comment! Tahoe is known for its shore fishing. It doesn't even seem to be a minnow around. Even at the dock area
I thought it funny that he found those lures as I didn’t see a single fish😂
WOW, wondered where you went, YT must have unsubscribed me, but I'm back great video, as usual.
Glad to have you back Ray!
Very cool, thanks for sharing. It is a little creepy, I keep expecting you to find Fredo Corleone
LOL...If I did YT would not allow me to show him!
How deep did he go? Looks pretty shallow, but much cleaner than I thought it would be. Where are all the fish and other water life?
Third. My dog loves the sound of the water scooter
Wow, I have never before heard of any breathing being that likes that sound. He's a gooood boy!
I didn’t see any fish… dude found a couple of fishing lures, but no sign of aquatic life
I saw fish... all going away from me.
GAWD once junker always a junker. I scored a GREAT late 40's 50's Clamshell metal porch chair in pretty good condition at the dump last week. Just needs some clean up and paint. www.flickr.com/photos/50185661@N03/?
Chris, the chair is so cool! Great find. The plants.. woman you may have a sickness, haha, how do you keep up with them all?
@@mokpot LOL Sometimes i just let the cats do it. OK That does not work. All done watering and for once I kept track of the water I needed to mix up. It only took 7 1/2 gallons. I did not water the three mounter stag horn ferns though. I just did them in the bathtub a few days ago. Most of my plants are from traded cuttings so they have been my babies a long time. Three different plants I have had for well over 30 years. GAWD I am getting old. Still just as crazy though.
30 years is not that long...
Good dive, as others said surprized there wasn't more garbage out there. But a few interesting items.
Very few tourist get to visit from out of state CA/NV & everyone loves Tahoe so much we truly respect all the nature it embodies ❤
Lake Tahoe is certainly one of the most beautiful areas in the world.
Surely surprised how clean the lake is.
The last time I knew that lake Tahoe has over50 natural springs feeding it. They say IRS 99.9 %pure spring water .its so clean you can see the bottom in over 100ft deep.
Those logges are cool
I think so too
Pretty sure I saw you off of the bike path in T.C. a couple weeks ago. Gnarly!
Say hello next time...
I am not sure if you saw me, but I am the guy on the wide wheel scooter. I saw one scuba guy eying me lol I'll definitely give you a shout next time 👍
at least you got a free beer coming
YEs.... always a plus
Hi Kathleen, This dive I was diving the north side, the deepest I was on this dive was between 40 and 45 feet. The fish tend to stay near deep water.
Another great video under water blowing bubbles. I seen a lot of wood I could make Custom Tahoe Succulent Planters out of. Hahhahahahah
Hiya Eddie!
