I took my OG M2 to NE Yorkshire a few weeks ago, Pickering, Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, Scarborough, Filey, Bridlington, etc, the roads are great and I really enjoyed the drive.
As someone whom lives few miles near Helmsley and owns M4 F82, can say there are some bits awesome roads to drive on and can really put your foot down! Awesome video , great to watch!
There is an ultra marathon run that goes around the whole of the North York Moors. 110 miles long and very, very hilly ! I have done it twice. I want to go back to the area in a car with my wife. I have an M2 on order which will arrive early next year. I will definitely do the trip - loved the video, scenery is amazing. 🙏
That route looks like great fun! Never been up to Blakley Ridge. I always have to do drive outs solo so I never end up venturing far. Your videos as always have stunning views and are top quality.
Great video. I live Middlesbrough and often go to both Helmsley and Blakey Ridge. In fact i cant believe that you never went in for food as they do amazing bar meals there. If you are ever up this way again let me know and i will join you in my BMW i8.
Great video! I must be local to you guys as I often drive past that Corvette at 3:18 on my way to work! I have an M140i myself but never had a chance to go out towards Blakey Ridge... It's now on the bucket list!
Great video Marek. it looks like the weather is finally turning here as of this week...looking forward to bringing my car out on these roads this summer. the paint chips / stone issues are tough...I put front end ppf to provide some form of protection and it's doing some good work.
Lovely road at Blakey ridge, if your ever in North Yorkshire again give me shout as I have a M2 Comp 2020, I will join you, I live in Rillington near Malton
So last Friday I was talked out of buying an M2 by your comparison video with the M140i. Some of those Yorkshire roads look incredible but I got to thinking there's nothing like that around here and everywhere's busy most of the time. So instead I've put the deposit down on the best looking M240i on Autotrader- full M-Perf spec including the exhaust, adaptive dampers for our broken roads. It's not an M2 but it's a pretty decent substitute that won't break the bank or my spine as a daily so I want to thank you for your very useful advice. Now I just hope summer actually starts soon because this endless rain has gone on way too long! Side note, is that monster behind you @3:28 one of those new Kia's? That's ridiculous, far too big for British roads (and car parks) and shouldn't be allowed!
Great video and great drive. I've got a BMW and live up north, near liverpool though, so if you're looking for another car for your convoy, I'll be happy to tag along sometime. Not that I need an excuse for a trip to yorkshire 😁
@@MDrives Same here Marek, I have a BMW too, no tthe Mcar but a 2 series coupe. If you are over the peaks let me know, I dont live far. I am in Staffordshire.

Nice video, in my favourite area. Think how much better it is on a super bike 😀😀👍🏻
That would have to be an experience. Regards 👋

I would struggle to do it on a bike. It’s a great road to drive and I’m sure you will enjoy it in your new car. Regards 👋

I’m glad you like it 👋
What a great day for a drive!
Car sounds great with the windows open 👌🏼

Thanks. I have quite a few stone chips after doing Scotland few times. It stopped bothering me. I just touch them up to prevent corrosion.
Kildale to Commondale is one of my favourite roads up there.
One to add to the list 😉
Loving the edit on this one! Great video. 🎉
Thanks. Regards 👋

Get in touch via insta. I don’t have a plan to go back there yet but I’m sure I will go back at some point.
Can you post a map of the route? Great video!
Thank you. Sorry I forgot to include it in the video. maps.app.goo.gl/VYzM8WMopgDnMiJ2A?g_st=ac

M240i is a fantastic car and in many ways better than M2 if it’s your daily. I hope you will have some great fun in it.
