Robot Spirits XI GUNDAM Review - Carl93 (Hathaway's Flash)

My review of the ROBOT SPIRITS XI GUNDAM (KA Signature) from the HATHAWAY'S FLASH NOVEL!
This specific version is prominently featured in the SD Gundam series of games, as it was redesigned by KATOKI HAJIME!
Did a bit of experimenting with the lighting for this video, apologies for some clips where the figure seems washed out.

Great review, but one correction. The movie version of the Xi Gundam is actually much closer to the original version, which is apparent in their similarities of having ventless facemask, curved v-fin, much larger wing binders, and the extra set of fins on the torso. The novel version is also quite inconsistent with its coloration as well, having predominantly blue torso in some illustrations, but white in others. The Xi version you're reviewing right now is based on Katoki's redesign, with slimmer overall proportions, and much smaller wing binders, of the Xi Gundam's appearance in the SD Gundam and other game series

I'm as much of a fan of Katoki as anyone else, but the way he stripped Xi of everything nice and unique about it and made it just a bigger, bog-standard MC Gundam is just criminal

@@freddekl1102 agreed, the RD Xi is genuinely my least favorite design from Katoki. But glad that he redeemed himself with the movie version, bringing back the novel Xi’s monstrous look

I used to have this figure long ago and I loved it. I am waiting for the new one to get announced so I can have Penelope and Xi as the movie versions

Yeah this guy was my very first RS and I was immediately hooked and of course got the OG Penelope soon after.
I told myself I don't think I'm gonna buy the new ones but I was doing some research on that new Penelope and OH MAN my wallet was loosening already LOL
I'll wait for your eventual review on the movie Penelope before I decide on pulling the trigger 😆

It is pronounced [ksi] in Modern Greek, and generally /ˈzaɪ/ or /ˈsaɪ/ in English. Not "see" or "C"-gundam.
