Will try this for change though has coconut. 🙏:-) ...btw...now a days ...no thuruval...just slice panni......badhaiya ..mixer la ore suthu suthi ..powder panni...now put in freezer store in zip lock. Mami one doubt,is it not necessary to soak the roasted dals before grinding?
Since many mixie jars are not grinding properly when we try to grind roasted dals with other grinded items especially if it is soft in texture.

How do you grate the coconut ? I used to grate by sitting on the floor , but now I can’t sit on the floor. It will be very helpful if you show what machine do you use?Thank you.
break the coconut into two. pour water in idly vessel. put the idli plate. place broken coconut in the plate.. cover the idly vessel. boil it for 10-12 minutes. after cooling, remove the coconut and peel the black/brown part. slice the coconut into pieces and wisk them in the mixture you get grated cocunt beautifully. i am 67, a man and i love cooking.
Mam we use to do this. We r telugu. My mother in law use to do this when someone pregnant at home.
