Great video, Aaron! Always able to learn something from your channel. Brought back memories of living on a dairy farm. We started small with a small machine like what you have, but we had to wash each teat. Yes cows kick when they're done too and it hurts! We then built up to a large milker that went into a large tank in another room. Still had to wash each teat. Love you guys! 💜💜
Thanks again, Aaron for another entertaining and informative video. You and Liz have taught this city girl so much about farm life. Hoping to visit your farm one day for goat snuggles and to meet the Symans' in person.
thank you Sir for the video. am at the planning stage of setting up a little goat herd of 40 kalahari goats in namibia and i was looking for more info on milking. thank you once again
That was interesting. Always great to learn something new. One thought ran thru my mind tho. Have you ever forgot to shut off the valve before putting the ends back in the sanitizer bucket between goats? Just curious.
Thanks for the video. Can you tell me, if you only had 2 milk goats, is it worth machine milking with all the setup and sterilization time? It seems like it would be faster hand-milking if I only had 2 milk goats. Best regards.
Do you mind sharing what machine this is? We have 8 goats kidding this spring and might be interested in getting a machine.. then my mom and aunt could help with milking if need.
The units of measurement can be seen in the center of the gauge towards the bottom underneath the needle. This gauge is reading in hg or inches of mercury.
Loved Dee kicking it off when she was done with it 😆
LOL, Dee taking care of business when she's had enough of the milking machine. 😅

No... we went to the machine at 8... with that said, it is easier on your body so I can see myself in my 60s (currently 44) using a machine with 2.
You don't clean the teat before you start milking? 😮
Do you mind sharing what machine this is? We have 8 goats kidding this spring and might be interested in getting a machine.. then my mom and aunt could help with milking if need.
Not chep... I got it from here but can't remember what one... hambydairysupply.com/goat-milking-equipment/bucket-milking-systems-complete/
Does it have uses other than for milking cows
Do you have a sanitizer in your milk then?
When using the machine with the sanitizer you don’t need to wash the goats teets?
So nice,...
So how much total milk per day from the girls ?
Currently we are getting about 4 gallons a day from 4 full milkers and 2 half milkers. The half have babies with them as well
Thanks for the video - love SSF
Great video. Love these learning ones. Thanks. Have a great day!!

10 what? We know it's vacuum pressure, but just saying "it's ten" isn't super helpful without units.
Vacuum is only measured in inches of mercury.
10 psi
