That reclining, hands extending from the pulpit is exactly like R.C. or more accurately, R.C. like him 🤣 Paul and Titus with the relationship of Timothy
We definitely need to keep our pastors/ reverend accountable. If all they are doing is playing the numbers game;trying to get the pews filled, that's pride of the flesh.
Can we give a thumbs up, when it ends with such sad horror? I would put a sad face if I could. May the love of Christ compel us to be even more about the Father's business.
John Gerstner was very much R.C. Sproul's spiritual mentor. It was said that both spoke very similarly and usually with a growl but Sproul would usually smile in his growl.
Some of you are too busy enjoying the things of this world to think about hell. WHY ARE YOU PEOPLE NOT LIVING IN FEAR?! Just out there enjoying life. Accepting and being kind to yourselves. It’s miserable to watch. Someday you’ll get what’s coming. And you’ll have to sit there and watch how wonderful my reward is while you suffer. I can’t wait!
@11:17, I don't suspect "primary business of Christians should be the "escape from the wrath of God". I submit loving Christ and others is primary. Interesting how the Greek word aionios mistranslated to eternal (as opposed to age) can swing some to conjure up doctrine of eternal torture.
@@theocratickingdom30 I would look to John 17:3 to define aionios life. John seems to use aionios as a quality vs a quantity when describing aionios life.
@@waynehampson9569 My reading of scripture indicates judgement. What is truly astonishing about this debate on the biblical truth of the existence of Heaven and Hell is that there is absolutely no evidence to prove their existence.
Can anyone speculate from where R.C. derived his preaching style? Hmm...I wonder...
Ohhhhhhh yes
So this is the great John Gerstner I’ve heard so much about. No wonder RC spoke so highly of him.
Amen, what a powerful message on hell. No wonder Jesus warns us from this place, where the soul dieth not, and fire is not quench.

Powerful message, as are all the messages of Dr Gerstner
Some powerful truth's that are rarely preached from the lecterns and pulpits of modern Western Christian churches.

Probably because we now know that fear of punishment is the lowest form of moral reasoning.

RC was a good student.

R.C Sproul definitely learned from the best.
Everybody should be scared of going to the pit, our Lord preached on that more than Paradise.
People can't say they weren't warned.

So, eternal life is temporal?
