When I saw you react to Miami Connection I had to a feeling someone would request this one. Another Rifftrax panel you should have been on! Good review Showdown 😂
"Why did you come under?" "Because I'm an undercover cop." Fun Fact: Theatrical movie debut of Mathew Karedas. The Light Fact: The entire movie is set during daytime because Amir Shervan could not afford lighting to shoot at night. Casting Notes Fact: Mark Frazer went for his audition at the director's house and was cast on the spot without even seeing the script or knowing who his character was. Budget Friendly Fact: The budget for the film was so shoestring, that cast members had to wear their own clothes and mostly drive their own cars save on costs for wardrobe and vehicles. Location Location Fact: The infamous restaurant scene was mostly shot at Carlos And Charlie's on Sunset Boulevard. The long take of Mathew Karedas delivering his speech to Fujiyama (Cranston Komuro) was shot months later in Amir Shervan's office. Karedas shot the scene alone, talking to a chair and a lamp. Gun Enthusiast Fact: The filmmakers apparently had access to only a handful of firearms. Only Joe's (Mathew Karedas) and Yamashita's (Robert Z'Dar) weapons are exclusive to a single character, other guns repeatedly reappear in the hands of multiple characters, often on opposing sides of the same shootout. Additionally, not all are fired, possibly due to a lack of appropriate-caliber blanks. Consequently, the director could not place too many gunmen in each frame. This seems to contribute to the confusing staging of some action sequences, and the frequent tongue-in-cheek criticism that the gang's many henchmen only attack one or two at a time, allowing Joe and Frank (Mark Frazer) to pick them off with ease. You're Not Having A Stroke Fact: Lead actor Mathew Karedas (credited as Matt Hannon) cut his long hair very short seven months after filming wrapped. While he was looking for more acting work, director and screenwriter Amir Shervan called him back for some re-shoots. Shervan was furious that Karedas had cut his hair and immediately went out to look for a wig. Unfortunately, Shervan was only able to find a woman's wig that looked nothing like Karedas's long hair. Karedas agreed to wear it, assuming Shervan was going to do some long-shots and pick-ups. Shervan still had half of the movie to shoot, completely out of chronological order. As a result, Karedas' character's hair alternates between his natural long hair and an obvious wig. The wig even comes off a few times, revealing Karedas's real short hair.
As soon as I saw the thumbnail, I dropped what I was doing & clicked on this video. Never thought we’d get showdown reacting to some good/bad movies. I’m at work but I couldn’t resist jumping into this joint!
I just realized its been alittle over two years since I initially suggested "Judgement Night " (1993) as a reaction. Hopefully you'll get around to checking it out before year three is up lol. Again, underrated gem with nothing but great reviews and I have a feeling you'd really enjoy it. Take Care ...
@PopcornReactions Definitely hope you do add this type stuff on the regular. Can only review the Usual Suspects so many times. See what I did there? 😆😆😆
@@PopcornReactionsgoing to check it out for sure! I’m watching this reaction of yours for the 3rd time now i haven’t laughed the hard in forever! Thanks again!
Have you ever seen The Room yet? It's really bad but the scenes with Tommy Wiseau are hilarious. "He didn't get his promotion, and he got drunk last night and he hit me." "Johnny doesn't drink! What are you talking about?"I both hate and love that movie. Whether you've seen it or not, that would be great to watch with you too.
I'LL SEE YOU IN HELL! Leave me alone! Get a job!
