How has I212 processing times went from 4-6 months in August 2021 to 24.6 months this past week? It looks like the Nebraska office has simply been shut down. What is going on.

HI, how are you ? I have a quick question. Im a GC holder based on my spouse and I have just completed the entire 3 year time line today . My wife who now is a 2 year 10 months US citizen so Im wondering that if I can just go ahead and apply for my N 400 now or just wait 2 more months until my wife finishes the 3 year citizen time frame ? The USCIS approved our I-130 petition two years ago, and we submitted all the documents and paid all the fees to the NVC but no interview date yet. So will it be faster to go to the Mexican/US border?

I think she means to say that expired green cards will be extended to remain valid for 24 months instead of 12 months. Look in her description box for links that will give more and hopefully clearer information.

Hi mam, me and my us citizen wife submitted a medical that was expired I learned that lately after few months of filing they send an i693 deficiency and told us we should go with another medical sadly for me we went with the new medical but we didn’t submit it cuz the guy who interviewed us didn’t ask anything like that. Right now my wife’s i130 is approved n uscis reviewing my i485 over a month.

I’ve a question: Is having an original marriage certificate mandatory on the day of the interview at the US’s embassy?
I’m from Afghanistan and I got married in turkey 🇹🇷 My husband is waiting for his interview date in Ankara and unfortunately we lost our marriage certificate. Since we are foreigners and according turkey’s 🇹🇷 law, we can’t get a new one there’s no anyway. We could get only a document from the civil registration authority of Ankara but as they said there’s no any guarantee whether that
document will be accepted by Us’s embassy or not.

What's DACA?
It's their country, but Americans in my country after 7 years can apply for residency and citizenship, or if they have the money, under CIP program, they pay money, and in months they can get their citizenship, passport, etc... The US should be simple. If you want to stay, noo problem. You just gonna pay higher taxes, not be eligible for welfare or unemployment benefits, until you are eligible to become a US Citizen, and like Switzerland, that means, you speaky English, agree with and take and oath to the US Constitution, and understand current events, and not living in your own little anti-social world.
