y'all i need some serious help, i accidently reset my phone and i've forgotten my password, i tried changing my password through a computer, friend's iphone, and family's iphone but it just says that i have to type my current password to change my password?? i tried many passwords i can to unlock my phone but it said activated lock?? now i can't even unlock my phone!

Make another Apple account for the meantime and it should allow you to download the app, go thru your settings and sign into another account or make one to do so.
This the same problem I have and I don’t really wanna make a new Apple ID
Every time I try this procedure, It says I have to wait several days for a text or Email from Apple to reset the password. Then I never hear from them. I can't use my new Iphone!!! Just a runaround!

Bro saved me!!! cause my old phone broke all i had to do is add my sim card to a trusted family members iphone and then i resseted it on there phone and then it gave a option to reset password through my sim cards number. it sent a code and done!!! Thankuuuu ❤ hope this helps somone

Andrea, it sounds like you might be on the right track but need to ensure you're using the correct method. If you’re not prompted for Face ID, try signing in directly through the Apple ID account page.

I just "tried" to change my Dad's password. Got the email notification that it got changed. Can't sign in to iCloud cause the password is wrong..... No saying I have to WAIT for this to change. I hate ios.
Please help! I’m trying to unlock an old iPad (I reset it years ago) didn’t realise I have a very old iCloud account linked to the iPad through find my iPhone - I am unable to set up the iPad without entering the email and password to the old iCloud account. I can’t remember the password as it was from 2013 and when I click forgot password it comes up linked to a very old phone number that I need to enter to get a text to verify. I can get on my tablet with my password but to update certain things it asks for Apple ID passcode. I’ve tried everything and resetting. I’ll put a code in an it’s not it. So frustrating. I don’t want to loose my downloads.

These people are not real tecs My cousin who is a software technician showed me a universal passcode that works on computer and mobile device which decodes the whole system. Afterwards you are prompt to create or reset your password. It’s very simple.
