Not sure about that battery choice, 32650 6500mah. I think I'd rather a 21700 5000 mah design which I own a lot of. if wanting a big head flashlight with flood LED and SFT40 for throw I'd probably get the Wurkos TS32 that isn't much fatter but has 15000 mah using 3x 21700 for similar price.
Would love to see you test this running the p45b and also reviewing the new sp31 v3 which I highly recommend. Great channel and appreciate your work! For anyone interested in the if30 I don't recommend using the battery it comes with due to low cdr and I'm aware that a 21700 adapter isn't available, however if you have access to a 3d printer your in luck! 👍🏻

Molicell p45b: SPOT: 736m. SPOT/FLOOD: 680m 32650: (whatever this thing takes): SPOT: 711m. SPOT/FLOOD: 623m. Testers have noted that the light is damaging the stock batt overtime due to pulling too many amps on it and overloading it. 21700 fits easily, but needs a spacer to keep from wobbling about. Someone recommended a 3/4” rubber grommet.
Can't wait to see the comparison among this and Marauder and TS32. Surprising initial performance here. But I suspect you'll find that single battery won't have the juice for any sustained output, hence it's not getting hot. My TS32 with triple 21700 batteries blasts out over 12,000 lumen plus over 600m of throw and a whole bunch of heat. Can't even hold it, hence the handle, and it drops down super quickly. I have the Marauder Mini which holds a stable 6,000+ lumen and 600+m of throw forever. The downside being that proprietary battery. I really try to stay away from non-standard batteries. I think we will find this light is asking for too much power from too small of a fuel tank. Keep up the great work on the reviews and these lights will make for an interesting comparison video! I'd imagine the TS32 at about 2000 lumen must sustain its output well with 3x 21700 powering it. I wanted a Marauder Mini but not a fan of the proprietary battery either. I wasn't aware of how big it is which this video showed well. The Sofirn IF30 is nice though. Maybe if they made a 21700 tube for it I would want one!
A couple of reviewers have the data sheet on the 32650 cell and have tested. The battery has a max amp draw rating of 6.5A, and the light pulls 37A on turbo. This means you are damaging the cell and creating an unsafe situation using the higher outputs. One has reached out to Sofirn but has not heard back on a battery tube to allow use of a 21700 with higher amps. Be careful.
I really like the compactness (In the future tube for 2 32650) ? and the control wheel, it seems to me quite on the green tint ? I'd like to see it with an sbt90.2 or xhp70.3 for the spot

I was going to get an IF30 about a week ago and the next thing I knew Sofirn was out of stock. I asked Sofirn when they were going to stock again. They said they were out of round stock material for it and their engineers were considering other battery options. Sofirn said they most likely wouldnt have stock until more the end of October at the earliest
Love this light it's just a damn shame the battery included is not up to the task because of its low current drain ability... I've rigged a molicel p45b with orings which kicks ass but as a single cell unit, using the light at high output which is the idea here, the tank runs low fairly quick.

So the IF30 firmware driver thinks it is dealing with a low cell. The IF30 worked, but instead of getting a green light I had a red light for ther entire runtime. The best performance upgrade for the IF30 I tried was using a high drain 21700.
What’s the best budget sbt 90.2 (aimed at 30 sec+ before dropping below 3000 lumen) that’s ~$100 or under.. I’m wanting an sbt but I’m stuck between a couple. Anduril is a huge plus. But I also see convoy is a strong second.
Again - dropping that huge battery and letting it slam into the PC board. Ugggghh you make me cringe every time you do that and this one almost started crying. Hold the lights sideways and slide them in dude 😮😂 I’m sure the wife would or has told you the same thing 😂

At just over half the cost of the Marauder Mini, this is a big win for Sofirn in my opinion.
