We need more videos like this in the flashlight world. Everyone's needs are different, but 2 hour sustained lumen is my critical test. That will last for a long walk at night with a margin of safety. That Olight is amazing. I have the mini Marauder and the TS32, both of which will hold 1,500 lumen for 2 hours.
I am sold on the q8Plus. Respectable performance from the Olight. Can get 2 q8plus and still have spare change. My next purchase will definetly be the q8plus. Cheers for the reviews, most informative 👍

Good effort. With so many lights starting and different lumens, and so many checks over time, the video could use a table of the starting lumens and lumens at various time intervals.
This is a dream video for me as I've been debating on the convoy 4x18 for a while now. I appreciate the point of the calibrated lights and the benefit they bring. With that said, might you happen to know if the 4x18 can be calibrated and if not, might you know of a 4 cell 18650 can style light that can be calibrated. Were they all configured to 70°C thermal limit? The EC06 is performing very well, it's a shame Astrolux is gonna receive the new stock at ~26th of October, but hey, got mine for 72 USD, can't complain too much. I just wish it had a stainless steel bezel, it would have been much better.

Reviewers were disappointed because they said that it couldn't sustain even 1000 lumens (they wrote just over 600) because of its drivers, but if it can sustain well over 4000 lumens for about 15 minutes, that's WAAY more than enough in my book, considering my E07 SW45k produces a bit less than that on turbo hahah. Thank you once again for the awesome videos!

Great video man! Wow! What do you think of my thought process? The Plight 2 is the best choice to buy because you enjoy higher lumens at lower temperatures and that will allow one to use it more as an EDC flashlight. Also, the Plight 2 will allow you to walk at night farther without having to burn your hands. I would like to know what you think of this. Can you also do a video between the Sofirn EC06 and the Olight Marauder 2. Just showing the difference in turbos.

Thank you I appreciate your comment 🙏 IMHO the ec06 and q8 pro will be able to hold 1000 lumens it may drop from turbo to below 1000lm because of thermal regulations but if you start around 1k I'm pretty sure it will hold, I do not have the q8 plus so I'm not sure about that one. Again this is my opinion I would definitely pick the ec06 over q8 although they are similar in a lot of ways I just prefer them extra lumens

At turn on with factory batteries I got 13,800 and at 2min 2,200 and at 5min 1,980 and at 7min 1,961 hope this helps you out my friend appreciate you 🙏

I agree with you on that, I have both also the olight mini and the TS 32. They happen to be too great lights. The 32 is a bargain for the price.

I never had any issues and I run some of my configured lights hard and my batteries seem to be fine after running hard in a configured light.
