So we are about to have our second visit to CB. We love this resort! We were going with two families and inquired about the two bedroom suite, but it was actually cheaper to get two family suites instead. We like exterior entry as we have kids going room to room, and we didn't want the noise of that echoing and bothering others. It's a great resort for kids and parents as there's so much to do for the kids and parents don't hear the dreaded 'I'm bored!' We did grocery delivery which was great although unlike Disney no one at the front desk will hold your groceries so you need to be there to pick them up when delivered. We also had the resort refillable and park refillable mugs. Although i wish they had one that did both, they don't so it is what it is. We found it very valuable though as the kids loved filling up with slushies (as did i when it was HOT!) I can't wait for our next trip!

Great video! I think the motel style rooms have better sound proofing because the door to the outside needs to be built and sealed much better.

I prefer the decor of Cabana Bay. Under $200 for a family suite is great! I just found a $400 discount rate for Art of Animation for one night and I said “no way!”

I would prefer 2 showers instead of 2 vanities. They have it in the doc rooms at the poly and it’s amazing!! Everyone needs a shower after all day in the fl sun!

I am staying at Cabana Bay in the near future and I had a question about the resort and room. I have seen previous guests online reviewing that the air conditioning was not the best at this resort in the room, saying that it was hot in the room, and that the air was motion activated. Did you find any issue with the air conditioning during your stay? Was the air motion activated, if so how did that work in the evening? Thanks so much ahead of time.
I run super hot, I have stayed here on multiple occasions and I have never had an issue on keeping it cool. I just stayed again last week and it was very comfortable

Which building is closer to hard rock resort? Can you walk to hard rock from cabana? Also. Can you use hard rock resort amenities? Thanks!
This is not anywhere near the hard rock and no you can only use the amenities at the hotel you are staying in
Would you recommend the standard family suite or Tower if you have seen both? We have just booked and it looks like the standard family suite (the motel type). Just wondering if the tower would be worth the upgrade price. thanks 🙂
I haven’t done the outside rooms, but from what they told me the inside is the same. I think those rooms are a much further walk to the lobby but closer to Volcano Bay. I’m always a fan of inside rooms, but less chance for bugs and other safety reasons, but if that and the walking isn’t a big deal than those rooms should be fine!

I’m here now. Hallways and my room smells of cannabis. My suggestion is if you’re looking for a budget friendly universal trip stay off property that has a shuttle. Unless you want a contact high. (Staff was very friendly, nothing against the good people working at CB)
I’m sorry that happened to you. I have stayed here multiple times throughout the years and this has never happened. Unfortunately you can’t control people. I also don’t recommend thinking you’ll just take a shuttle from an off property hotel without actually knowing there are very little shuttle times for most places.

Universal does great deals! It’s not all the time but always check!
