  • In our first shop tour since the pandemic, we join Rockford Art Deli for a look at their screen printing shop. Set in downtown Rockford, IL, owner Jarrod Hennis holds yearly Free Print Day events. People wait in line for hours to get a slice of Rockford Art Deli's prints. In 2020 they pivoted to online and retail sales, with R.A.D.'s online sales jumping 800% year-over-year.

Love the basement. Man that brings back a lot of memories. I grew up in Loves Park. Off Alpine, across the street from the new Harlem. (Like anyone will remember the two older Harlems.)

Seeing that all your designs are either one or two colors if you were printing with plastisol you could actually print to order and cut down a ton on all that printed Inventory upstairs. With a good registration system this is totally possible. You would save a lot of money.

@19:43 mark he said "spray" something ...what would he recommend using ? instead of that please ? We have a small screen print business and I dont want that stuff on my new floors if possible . ty

He's referring to "spray tack" (spray adhesive used on the pallets to keep the shirts stuck down). The overspray goes everywhere. There are alternatives, like products you can apply with a brush (like sgreen's water based pallet adhesive from ryonet)
