I am doing a real world long distance 200 mile mixed driving circuit with minimum temperature dropping to 25F in a 2024 Lexus NX 450h+ Plug in Hybrid.
The first leg covering 100 miles is on either internal roads with stop & go traffic or slower two lane highways. The driving speed is between 25 to 60 mph with average speed in this stage at around 40 miles per hour.
On the way back I cover 100 miles driving interstate speeds. The expected average speed during this stage should be around 67 miles per hour with maximum cruising speed being 72 miles per hour.
It is hard to find reviews that do real world mixed driving conditions and if they do it is not long enough where you can use the results and apply to your situation. In future I also plan to use this same circuit to benchmark different cars in different weather conditions.

Once the EV mode is done, how is the performance of the car? Do you feel a perceptible difference of power at this stage? How long does it take to charge back up to a state where the car is back to peak performance again?
Also, when you switch to the hybrid mode, would the car still have access to its peak power of 304 horsepower when the battery is not depleted?

So it doesn't automatically charges itself back to 80% of EV battery 🔋

Yes there is a setting to have the engine dedicated to charging the battery to 80%. As well there is a setting for EV only and a hybride setting.
