I remember a few months back when I was being delivered from demons and ancestral worship (honestly i thought i was gonna die if i did not accept the calling but God said not my child, I have a different purpose for you ) this song played when Jesus Christ set me free from the last and stubborn demon of them all.. I cannot thank God enough for what He did for me. That day proved to me that Jesus Christ's death for me was not in vain. Few years ago I would play this song every morning & evening. It was an anthem for me during a time I needed God's assurance that he is with me.
Few months later I found out that my bro was battling drug addiction & i didn't know what to do. I was desperate for Gods help so one evening i was led to sing it mentioning his name.

When I read about the omniscient nature of God in Psalms 139, I realize that his deep knowledge of who we are is not to expose us, but an assurance that there is no where we can hide from his love and there is no place too dark or deep that he cannot reach. Just like the lost sheep that he seeks to rescue, God is there when we are lost, helpless and lonely. He is not just around you, he is there to purposely find you, and as verse 10 says...even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.

Life has been a bit tough, I'm a student and most times the money I have is barely enough to cover everything, I'm a very cautious person when it comes to spending money and I only buy what I need...I don't have a job but the Lord always provides because every time I need money God always makes a way, but at some point though things got so bad that eventually I was on a negative bank balance and I prayed that God would make a way for me once again as he always does and he did because tonight I played a Nedbank game that my mom and I usually play every week day and never win...but this time God showed up and showed off because I won the biggest prize of R10 000...it hasn't hit me yet but God did that, he came through for me like he always does 🙌🏽

Listening to this over and over again, weeks after first hearing it and today I just burst out in tears from 3:50. That passage onwards, gripped my insides and like the bible describes it as groaning in a language we can't understand, it literally was that and the tears were uncontrollable. Language, truly isn't a barrier. I've slowed down the song, sped it up, raised the pitch, reduced it...I've internalised it - even though I'm Nigerian. Whew!

This song, my God. One of the songs that were there for me in the first part of 2017 when I was still mourning the horrific passing of my uncle the previous year late 2016. It was there for me in all the loneliness I was feeling among the people and place I was with. I will never forget the song.
