      That’s amazing! I basically did the same but without Iceland. As a Tipp: traveling through Norway takes much time because they don’t have fast streets in the North. However, Finland for example has, so you can travel very fast via Finnish streets up north. Sweden also :)

    Great video, but has some errors. For exapmple, it's JostERDalSbreen, not Jostalbreen. Quite a few letters missing :)
    And just to clarify, you will NOT see the northern lights (aurora borealis) in the summer months, that's from late september to early april, and almost only in cold clear weather.

    The traveling times are return times, meaning f.ex. it takes 4 hours to walk to the Pulpit rock/Prekestolen and back down, not just one way. Same with Kjeragbolten. It's 3 hours up and 3 hours down.

      The beauty of Norway is that you don’t need to travel to the „top places“ because there a plenty of unique places wherever you are! The whole country is so beautiful, you literally cannot end up in a bad place.
      I can only recommend to stick to the south to avoid long travel distances just to run to specific places instead of enjoying your limited time. The south is beautiful, checkout the Telemark region for example or the Hardangervidda Nationalpark and of course all the small islands on the south coast with their pretty houses 😊
      I wish you a fantastic time!

    • @herbrawling2955
      @herbrawling2955 Рік тому +1

      Les: Have you already made your plans for November? If not, here are my thoughts: I've traveled extensively in Norway. If you have 6 days and are visiting Oslo, you are going to be limited, more or less, to the southern part of the country (e.g., Loften and Nordkapp would be too far). November may also not be a great month for some of the hiking and outdoor activities mentioned in the video...unless you don't mind potentially miserable weather and have the right clothing. So, with that said, I would probably plan on 2 days in Oslo and then take the train to Bergen with a side trip to Flam/Aurlandsfjord, and a day or two in Bergen (or in the area). If you have to also leave from Oslo, then you'll need a day to get back. Keep in mind travel in Norway is generally slow, so although it may only be 100 miles, it could easily take 3+ hours to get from Point A to Point B. Another option, instead of taking the train to Bergen, would be driving from Oslo to Aalesund, which is near the Atlantic Ocean Road featured in the video (I'm actually thinking of doing this in January with my daughter). In my mind, northern Norway -- let's say above the Arctic Circle, so that would include Bodo, Lofoten, Tromso, Nordkapp -- is easily a 2 week trip in itself.

    Please, don't let anybody give you any number of places which you have to visit in Norway. It will destroy you vacation. Norway you will find so many beautiful places that if you have a goal of seeing all of them, you will never get a chance to enjoy any of them. Remember that it is more than 2400 kms from the south to the north of Norway. Pick a handful of places which are located in the same region and take your time to enjoy them, as well as any sidetracks of the main that you are hitting.

    I only speak Ukrainian. I am using google translator. Therefore, please excuse me if the translation is bad! I am from Western Ukraine. I am a nurse and I save lives. I live now in Germany. I need a lawyer to file, with other disabled citizens of Ukraine, a lawsuit against Norway. My husband, a Ukrainian (oil worker, human rights activist) became disabled as a result of his defense of the rights of other people (Norwegian and Russian media for 9 years). My husband fought corruption in the Russian oil giant, which was headed by the founder of the 6th Directorate of the FSB and the ex-Chancellor of Germany. My husband defended the rights of disabled people and Ukrainians in Norway against Russian-speaking citizens of this NATO country. The Norwegians took my disabled husband to Moscow AFTER: anti-war pickets of my husband in the Russian Federation, his defense of the rights of Ukrainians in Norway, the issuance of documents to my husband by the Norwegian Red Cross for his close relatives (Polish servicemen repressed by the Russians), sentencing his defender to prison (in married to a citizen of Finland for 25 years) in Belarus, who reported the crime of the Norwegians against the Ukrainians and was recognized as a Political prisoner. My husband and his lawyer warned the Norwegians about the coming war, but they did not believe him. The husband was kidnapped and the war began. And after the war began, the Norwegians do NOT admit their mistakes! Unlike the Swedes, the Norwegians DO NOT LIKE to admit their mistakes even when the Chechen refugees deported by the Norwegians were killed in the Russian Federation (Norwegian media).SSSS
