I'm so happy and this could be my end game.. whoever say the sound is not for them must be use to listening to sub 500 sound iem , this is head and shoulders above .
The IE 600 treble is controlled by the "foam inside the eartips". This is not a good thing. If you use 3rd party eartips then the Treble gets too high for me.
3 weeks later I decided to get it, at first I thought it was thin and lacking bass, but it was only a bad seal, after switching tips it came to life. I dont find it bass heavy at all, i find the base to have a good amount and in some tracks it will move your brain a little 😂 which I like, on other tracks if you like bass you’d still want to up it a little bit.

@@Gizaudio Thanks for the reply.. I would also want to know how does the Sennheiser compare to the JVC FDX1 in terms of fit and comfort? Not really because they don't sound similar at all, Blessing 3 is quite neutral, IE600 is bombastic. The Sennheiser IEM has so much bass and treble energy, at least for me, and it's incredibly well done too. Details are close to top tier as Tim said. @@jimawhitaker yes, you'd have to spend $1000-2000 or more to get something better than the IE600. And the big difference is mostly in soundstage and imaging, because you won't get much more detailed than the IE600, it's already excellent. I have the Sony IER-Z1R too, and I can tell you the IE600 is just as detailed, and comfort is miles better. Still hard to beat the Z1R bass and soundstage though.
I like IE900 more, more bass, sparkle and wide soundstage. I think IE600 is for mid lover and better price/performance ratio. Love your work from Thai fans.
How does it compare to the Moondrop S8 ? I've heard that's the technical king in the $700 price range, and it's only downsides being the timbre and Bass isnt that elevated. And the Bass point can be a plus to some
What sennheiser did was a western touch. They use a good driver. Then the casing around the dd is insane. Then just before the nozzle they place a partition with tunnel rails to reduce the distortion and smooth the sound waves compared to a chifi dd that has the dd facing the nozzle or a pipe and that's it.
I have a 100$ budget for an iem, I saw that the Moondrop Aria and Dunu Titan S are the best options for the budget. I’m a jpop and anime soundtrack consumer and don’t know which one to pick. Can someone tell me which one should I choose?
What if you put on a High-Shelf filter for the Treble on the IE600? Basically turning down the treble a notch but keeping everything else the same. Would that make it a win-win, good techical ability and good tuning?
got a chance to demo the IE600 in store yesterday, boyyy is it a bass canon, reminds me of sony headphones like the Z7 and 7506. If you're coming from Sennheiser open backs then it's gonna be a shock to the system. I feel like cheaper IEMs like the ER2XR and blessing 2/3 does bass and even midrange better than Sennheiser. Their IE series lacks ear gain for some reason unlike their headphones. Anywho that's my impression, hopefully senneheiser can improve on this since I find their in-ear design to be super comfortable!

How much quality do u think i'll lose when choosing between these and monarch mk2 ? I want to get either of them, originally was sure to get the mk2 but the comfort on those ie600 are really appealing to me
Monarch MK2 is the better sounding iem imo. It sounds more full and complete across the spectrum, but quality wise you’re not missing out on anything. The details, stage and imaging are phenomenal on both. One huge difference is the comfort- the ie600 is far and away the WAY more comfortable iem. So if you think you can handle the spicy treble of the Sennheiser, I think it’s recommendable over the MK2
Love the ie600. They're amazing with classical and most genres and readily the most comfortable IEMs I own. And sound brilliant with a chord mojo 2. It does make me lose fail in certain reviewers when they continually talk up moondrop and talk down IEMs like this.
Make sure you tried its fit before buying because this IEM goes inside your antitragus and antihelix. There is no other adjustment if its tight, after 1hr its uncomfortable to the ear. If you have small ears, trust me you'll regret it, ie900\ie600 returns and resell due to it is common here in Taiwan.
When we look at the frequency response, it's a typical Sennheiser signature with upper midrange and boosted treble with a small dip in between. It does not sound very musical for my taste but it's quite relaxing because we can pick up all the details with ease
No matter what Tim says here it's not a hair close not at all , try asking other reviewers , ie 600 is a leap above variations and well worth its price.
i tried the Variations and it sounded really thin, some people like that but not me. IE600 is just so bombastic and fun, but never crosses the line to become uncomfortable for me. The fit alone makes it worth the money, just so small and comfortable.
I'm not sold on the IE600, for $180 less (or more when on sale) the Variations seem more of a value to me. That machining aesthetic is quite the look, maybe the IE300 is a good recommendation to test out before saving up for the IE600. I might be wrong.
Much of why people like the IE600 is comfort and build quality. The B2 and Variations are fat IEM's with a fat nozzle and a plastic build vs the IE600 with a small metal build while still being significantly lighter. It's tough for a single DD to beat a tribrid IEM in pure details but it's possible in tonality so a lot of that comes down to preference.
The Dusk and Variations are fantastic, especially for the price, but the fit/comfort is just terrible. Once you try the IE300/600/900, the fit is worth the extra cost.
I have both. I much prefer the ie600 for its more natural tonal balance. I also prefer the tuning of the Oracle but I agree technicalities are much stronger on the ie600.
I returned my Variations for the IE600. The variations’ biggest enemy is its own lower mid/mid bass dip. It really pulls a lot of weight and life out of certain instruments. Particularly, lower ranges of synthesizers and bass guitar. I did prefer the Variations’ treble. The IE600 still does treble well, but is a different flavor. However, the sheer smaller size of the IE600 combined with the extra body to instruments, and the fact that eartips don’t simply fall off like they do on the variations made it my pick. The IE600’s sounstage/imaging is more precise, which makes it great for FPS games. I’m glad I got it. The IE600 also responds fairly well to EQ to take the edge off the spiciness in the treble if it’s a bit much for you.
It's big bust in terms of build quality. Thier NASA material shell is big hype and yes. But who care about the shell where as the whole internals are crap. I don’t agree with your assessment. I own both Variations and IE600. There’s no comparison. IE600 plays in different league. It’s in the end game category. Natural sound it produces is like no other. Tips do matter. There’s no need to switch tips. Instead try using smaller size. I thought L is for me. Instead I put size M and I got perfect seal. Also cable matters. I replaced cable with copper cable. Mistake. It made it sound like a regular chi-fi eim. Instead buy single crystal silver cable like GUCraftsman for $130. It’s a game changer.
