You don’t even know how special and wise you are! But, we do! Yashua wasn’t concerned with numbers of followers either or even who they were. He gave his message and all had a free choice to believe or not. We all falter and are in the school of life every day! Our experiences teach us what we need to know and they are individual to us. Hi Oriel! I was really happily surprised to see a new video. I had noticed on your war-related videos how you got a lot of personal attacks for simply being an Israeli. I was so tempted to jump in and defend you, but when people attack you personally, they are just hoping for conflict, and so the best thing to do is not respond. If you (or I) did respond to these trolls/bullies that would only encourage them to return. I really admire your wisdom when it comes to dealing with - and occasionally correctly ignoring - some unpleasant comments. If I have any power to send happiness and blessings and good fortune your way, then I pray they reach you.
I completely understand that, and thank you for being so willing to jump in to protect and defend. As you say many times, it is just futile to do so, and it is better to ignore because there’s absolutely no point in having a discussion with someone who doesn’t want to learn or to hear the other side. Good video! I recently went back on facebook after being off a couple years. And i am finding that i am not the social butterfly i thought i had become and have alot to work on. Like the other day i felt i should like a post about someone that read through the whole Bible last year but then commented to be cautious where they go after that because it was a stressful thing to me learning so much and having so many questions. Wow, the attacks started coming from all the Christians i used to go to church with. And i meant well so i let them attack, and the original writer of the post deleted my comment and told them to stop, so God fought for me through them. This led me to give several public posts of my beliefs and how i got there. It was generally well accepted, and now many of them are posting scripture over and over trying to come against what i said seemingly out of fear after learning something new and having trouble accepting it. So i am giving them space and letting them vent as God works on them. The Holy Spirit will do the work because His Work won't return without completing the work needed. Shalom!
That is a very challenging case, indeed! In these cases, I think that integrity in the character of God is definitely the way to go. We cannot change everyone’s opinion and we’re not here to please everyone, but we are here to walk after God. Hope you pray that you are vindicated through everything. Hmm, you were a vehicle for his frustration, anger and cynicism at everything that is happening in Israel and in his own life. That is what those who feel powerless do. They shame others. They are bullies. I'm glad you pushed back with strength, and wisdom. You are the quiet lioness Oriel. I'm reminded of anecdote from a older friend. She was driving on the highway, wasn't feeling well and pulled over to the shoulder. Upon getting back on the highway, she went a bit slower before getting off at an exit. A car behind her honked and then sped up to give the the finger. Did she meet him with rage? No. She blew him a kiss and watched as his angry face turned to one of bewilderment.
I love what your friend did! That’s really powerful for sure. And it’s true, a lot of people are bullies and they feel out of control that they can’t change their circumstances so they have to channel their frustration somewhere and sometimes attends to be regular people. I’m so happy for your advice and I’m sure anyone who reads this comment will also benefit from it. 🌸 I wore New York socks yesterday and it was lovely. 😏😏😏
