To deliver the appeal the series has in general.
Of all genres to censor fan service focused media isn't a good choice. We know why we're there and sometimes, as with My Dress Up Darling, they transcend the ecchi and become something more but the main thing is the main thing.
This is why most Echi Animes have OVAs with complete uncensored scenes because ain't no way they released it on public TV's. Creators made OVAs because they knew what were are all thinking. Remember Princess Lovers that has something most other OVA don't?
Also worth noting that the series does feature less fanservice as it progressed. It's still ecchi but definitely not as much in your face as early chapters
That’s exactly why this anime will fail. No fan service, everything censored. Where you have a little of censorship you will have a lot. To watch a showcase that is censored is a complete waste of time
I won't be watching this show because the censorship ruined it for me and the blue ray release probably won't fix it if episode 1 had censorship and cut things out what else will be censor and cut out
They also do censorship to the fable-masaki Nude scenes. Being the fan of the fable manga, i am sad that they made a bad adaptation of this epic manga but i hoped they would stick to the manga but sadly they completely censored or change few manga panel.. Quality of Anime now a days are going and soon the existence of fanservice or Explicit scenes will be over😢
I actually didn’t realize it was censored. I just saw the first episode. Seems fun and will continue to watch. A little bummed for people who are fans of the manga
i found it funny when i tried to look up the manga online, the first and main one that comes up and labeled as official is censored (although it had a more modern release date) all the other scans from several years ago where not censored. I say if you want to censor, do it but give us the option somewhere else for the uncensored.
I was so psyched when I saw this show get announced and I remember commenting on crunchyroll's news article that I REALLY hope they keep the show as a more mature themed/fanservicey show. When it was uploaded to Hidive and I saw the rating as TV-14 I was immediately disappointed. Don't adapt an ecchi or heavy fanservice series if you're gonna remove all the ecchi, I don't get it. Most people aren't gonna be watching this series for the plot, especially when Dress Up Darling exists which does the idea so much better
Sorry but the moment I hear censorship anything I'm out by default. I've dealt with censorship in my entertainment far too many times and honestly I'm sick of it. I'd much rather stick with a manga.
@@goldenangel158 I dunno homie there's a lot of problematic elements made by chudder mangaka that society is better off never seeing. I agree censorship is bad but like, we need limits. Right now they just take things way too far and it causes harm to actual women and minorities.
Old school ecchi that even showed niiples were a good time to watch anime. Not saying these days ecchi anime are bad, but I dislike having to go to manga cause I know the anime didn't have the *balls* to make the animation more entertaining. The lvl2 super cheat anime from last season also should have had a intimate scene in episode 6 that got "censored". It's just a few scenes, but it ruins the whole mood of the show. The mangas of these shows are a little spicy, but the animes are almost as if they're trying to make it family friendly for all ages to watch. It's becoming unbearable.
Honestly I don't think i'd watch this show regardless, but when they censor stuff I just don't watch. I will not even pirate it. The manga seems good though, I'd just support that instead.
I have read a good deal of this manga, but I haven't watched the first episode yet. Between Chibi Reviews and Otaku Spirit, I am greatly concerned that I am going to be livid about the anime. Character motivation, inspiration, and idiosyncracies are VERY important to me, so cutting out a, what seems "unimportant," scene may ruin the immersion of a character's entire plot. Like Mushoku Tensei- cutting out Rudi being bluffed by Elinalise vastly changes anime-onlys' impression of his fervor about his choice. I despise censorship in any form, as well. Remember those ancient artifacts called "compact discs?" Back when those were sold in store, there were often 2 versions sold- I ONLY bought the "black stickered" ones.
Adapting ecchi manga and then censoring it is so funny to me. Imagine adapting berserk and then being like, woah all that violence is a bit too much, let's tune it down.
Why do hosting services bother censoring stuff? What are the consequences of not censoring exactly? I'm not aware of any American laws against nudity. I just don't get it.
I read some of the manga, haven't caught up on newer volumes. I felt the fanservice died down as the story picked up and got more sense of direction. I actually enjoyed it more as went on but won't deny why I checked it out in the first place. My guess is they didn't want the early episodes to set the tone too strongly only for it to go in a different direction.
I want to know exactly why side-boobas and thighs/hips are even considered risqué? I want specific reasons. Do people run around pools/beaches with black bars covering up women in bikinis? How is fan service in media any different than pools/beaches?
Censorship is never ever not bad. If I ever decide to pursue this story, I'll read the manga unless an uncensored version comes out - which I doubt since it's actually changes to the outfit and not just bright lights or something.
Hey Chibi, I don’t mean to distract from this video, but are you going to make a video talking about the last episode of demon slayer? Or do you not like the anime at all? I don’t see any demon slayer videos at all😅
This manga is a fun read for me and the author gives a great bit of fanservice but tames it down as the series gets further which kinda sucks to me because it feels like the author was trying to become more like My Dress Up Darling and should've just stayed with what he was doing in the first couple of volumes but still enjoy it even though I figured this adaption was gonna get censored but this stuff is so stupid like just show it idiotic stuff man.
With My Dress Up and this, it's cool that some authors are noticing that there are a lot of girls and women into fan service stuff too even if it's not the same way that guys are into it. Unlike writers and companies over here that see/want a even demographic and end up making something unappealing to both, these artists know what kinda audience they're aiming for and sticking to it knowing that those that like this stuff will come check it out.
if youre gonna adapt a manga that is basically just horny bait, and then remove almost all the parts that is horny bait, then why even bother this is just worse dress up darling with ecchi, just go read the manga
This not jc fault from what i can tell because the information is coming from manga panel too. They said 'author's will' while i think it's author's manager who do this. especially after this manga went into global so they need to tone down for these said global people. many manga that not get global yet usually still good but became so tame after that and ended up i drop a lot of manga that went global especially from shueisha and maybe kodansha because it's getting boring, not sure about kadokawa because i just read jp only manga and they still had good collection of ecchi.
As an anime only, what scenes were cut from the first episode? As for the panty shot it looks like that can easily be fixed in a blue ray, because it looks like they just zoomed in on it and could have the whole artwork for the uncensored version. I thinks it's dumb that it is censored when it's a core draw of the original, but from what I've seen looks like simple fixes.
Except they don't fix anything in blurays lately, unless the blurays were explicitly announced to have changes before the show even began airing. Just look at Goddess Cafe Terrace or Chained Soldier's BDs for example, not a single change was done.
I despise censorship in EVERY form, from my point of view it's censored garbage now. Getting rights to adapt ecchi sereis and remove the ecchi part, I wish the company all the worst if thats the game they want to play.
Yea it makes no sense, slightly censoring this isn’t going to gain any audience, because it already has content that a lot of people will avoid it. But you’ll lose all the people who read the manga and want a faithful adaptation.

To watch a showcase that is censored is a complete waste of time
They censored it for the "global audience"
@@rickchakraborty2087 Like re zero season 3 being censored for the global audinace
And then there will be people that said "you want to see boobs, go watch hentai". Damn, I hate these people.
*I hate censorship.* 🤷🏽♂️
This is an ill omen for the upcoming Ranma 1/2 reboot.
I mean, Urusei Yatsura's remake was censored too, so ofc we know Ranma 1/2 will get the same treatment.
Quality of Anime now a days are going and soon the existence of fanservice or Explicit scenes will be over😢
If people complain that something will be bad because they take away boobs, is it really good or worth watching then?
Hope they don't censor dandadan when it airs. Started the manga last night now I'm like 40 chapters in. Soo good 🔥 1st btw
pretty sure no censorship
From what looks like, they are adding their own horniness while making the show. Pray they don't over sexualize grandma
Looks like no censorship based on the trailers so far.
@@donotdoit8428too late. She already looks so damn hot and sexy in the trailer.
Interspecies Reviewers, "First time?"
If wider audience likes censorship why would even watch a ecchi anime to begin with to enjoy thier censorship?
I seen that terrible localiser is working on it.
What's the point of fanservice anime if it lessens the fanservice...?
Unfortunately, many Japanese anime studios have gotten the impression, whether true or not, that censorship will lead to better sales in the West.
Sorry but the moment I hear censorship anything I'm out by default. I've dealt with censorship in my entertainment far too many times and honestly I'm sick of it. I'd much rather stick with a manga.
I feel the same way if a series has a lot of censorship no matter how good the story is the censorship just ruined it for me
Same here friend! Don't care how good the final product is any level of censorship and I'm out
@@goldenangel158 I dunno homie there's a lot of problematic elements made by chudder mangaka that society is better off never seeing. I agree censorship is bad but like, we need limits. Right now they just take things way too far and it causes harm to actual women and minorities.
@@LordSleven yep
Well now blackrock is buying their way in just expect more and more censorship and woke messaging in anime
Followed the manga up till now. Its great fan service for my eyes 😮💨
I can blame american censorship for this move.🤬
Adapting ecchi manga and then censoring it is so funny to me. Imagine adapting berserk and then being like, woah all that violence is a bit too much, let's tune it down.
Why do hosting services bother censoring stuff? What are the consequences of not censoring exactly? I'm not aware of any American laws against nudity. I just don't get it.
It could be a Japan thing. They have to censor certain things to make available for TV broadcast. But idk
@@elimDBZ oh I thought the issue was that the original JP version is uncensored and the western version is.
Remember every year we'd get awesome harem and big tiddy anime before the normies got into anime... Good times
I mean, we'll likely get an 'uncensored' version at some point haha
We won't
I want to know exactly why side-boobas and thighs/hips are even considered risqué? I want specific reasons. Do people run around pools/beaches with black bars covering up women in bikinis? How is fan service in media any different than pools/beaches?
I'm thinking more of a design decision because like ecchi and censorship don't make sense together
Ya F that, F censorship, I will continue reading the manga.
I swear no one will skip to click yis video because of the thumbnail❤💀👀
We Have to gatekeep harder , like as hard as i am for the MC
if youre gonna adapt a manga that is basically just horny bait, and then remove almost all the parts that is horny bait, then why even bother
this is just worse dress up darling with ecchi, just go read the manga
This not jc fault from what i can tell because the information is coming from manga panel too.
They said 'author's will' while i think it's author's manager who do this. especially after this manga went into global so they need to tone down for these said global people. many manga that not get global yet usually still good but became so tame after that and ended up i drop a lot of manga that went global especially from shueisha and maybe kodansha because it's getting boring, not sure about kadokawa because i just read jp only manga and they still had good collection of ecchi.
Interspecies Reviewers, Redo of the Healer, and GOMG weren't enough to convince the studios, I guess. XD
If 2.5 Dimemsional Seduction was made by Passione it will be better
As an anime only, what scenes were cut from the first episode? As for the panty shot it looks like that can easily be fixed in a blue ray, because it looks like they just zoomed in on it and could have the whole artwork for the uncensored version. I thinks it's dumb that it is censored when it's a core draw of the original, but from what I've seen looks like simple fixes.
Except they don't fix anything in blurays lately, unless the blurays were explicitly announced to have changes before the show even began airing. Just look at Goddess Cafe Terrace or Chained Soldier's BDs for example, not a single change was done.
Well this sucks that blackrock is now censored 🇯🇵 and sad that 🇯🇵 is bending the knee to them constantly these past few years more and more. 🤦🏽♂️
We are no longer in the era of how is this not Hen-tai
@@IdleWandering That era was short lived from 2019 to 2022. RIP.
If it’s censored then I’m not watching it
I despise censorship in EVERY form, from my point of view it's censored garbage now. Getting rights to adapt ecchi sereis and remove the ecchi part, I wish the company all the worst if thats the game they want to play.
Chibi you gonna cover the new monogatari?
Will say this at least, the VA's are slaying.
why do a fan service anime if you're going to take away fan service...
It no just an ecchi but a well written cosplay story so I can see why alot people mad because they don't even watch it for plot but for fan service.
The story is still work pretty well even with a few fan service
It's quite unfortunate, honestly. We cultured anime watchers still need more sauce for our cooked meat!!!
Where can I find more ecchi manga like this.
Reeks of Black Rock and/or Soyny influence.
They might uncensored it in the bluray.
They won't lol.
Yea it makes no sense, slightly censoring this isn’t going to gain any audience, because it already has content that a lot of people will avoid it. But you’ll lose all the people who read the manga and want a faithful adaptation.
Bro I haven't read this manga in years and when I heard of the anime I was going to watch it to get the motivation to pick it back up. Now it looks like I'll just have to read it instead since I'll be missing key parts
Is there an uncensored version available?
nope, never will be either
@@DoctorWasabi96 That's a bummer
Lets hope if atx got anything
