Officers marched in a Chinese military-style on March 11, 2021, at the Hong Kong Police College. The closing ceremony marked the end of a two-week foot-drill training course given by the People’s Liberation Army.

Who in the world would want to have a police force that goose steps. This is creepy as hell.
I'd prefer British style march.
There's no problem on both.
My opinion.
Yeah they are to slow...that russian style
Naaah, they are way too simple and bland....just like their cuisine
when the police force is your army
Real shame. I preferred their british drill style. What a sad day. I wonder if they will scrap Remembrance day as well.
@Harald Harster Just a sign that Hong Kong is losing its own unique culture and autonomy. Slowly the Hong Kong traditions, values, and Identity will be forced to be faded away by the CCP . Hong Kong will just become another Chinese city.
You prefer? Who are you? The owner of HK? Go away, loser.
@@FloofyMinari Becoming another Chinese city? Great. Much much better than staying as another British colonie.
@@wikizhiyu I think most Hong Kongers were very sad to see Britain leave and fear the strict controlling society now imposed on them by Beijing.
@@AtlasFox What you think doesn't count. UK used to control HK way more strict than what Beijing does today. The similar protest/riot happened in HK back in the 60s, have a look how UK dealt with it. Hundres of protesters/rioters were killed by HK royle police under the direction of UK.
Older generation hkers are the main supporters of Beijing today, and these people are the ones who actually lived under the british rule. Most of those young bastards who were waving UK flags on HK streets have never lived under the british rule. Go figure it out yourself.
1 year of protests and 0 deaths. Good on Hong Kong police! Meanwhile in the US
So police brutality is good? If thats the case, good on you HK police!
@Tian WongExpected that response from a pro-china person who would defend the polices actions against pro-democratic people. There are plenty of samples of brutality and the whole riot started because of police using excessive force.
@Tian Wong Bro get off UA-cam the CCP are gonna be knocking down your door any minute now
@Tian Wong I assume only once they're done punishing you, also elaborate my crimes?
@Tian Wong You need to smoke a joint.
politics aside, they look more communist now.just saying..
The commies have taken over the RHKP.
huge difference with the PLA(to be expected tho), but looks cooler than the old one
I think British marching drill better than Chinese marching drill.
Because it is better than that nazi drill the commies are using.
Goose stepping like the Nazis. Very appropriate
The real Nazis were and are westerners
@@eaStudioHD the real communists were westerners too. What’s he difference??? Fascism and authoritarianism exists all over the world. How many people died in China under Mao again????
@Tian Wong He literally exported food from the country where his citizens were starving just to make himself look good. Mao Thedong can rot in hell.
@@eaStudioHD The Nazis were from the west and were alsp defeated from others from the west.
@Tian Wong That makes so sense at all.
Hong Kong Police Best Coppers in the World!
Even in self defense, they caused 0 loss of life.
It’s not the chinese style, it’s prussian.
No its not its nothing like th shite prussisn style
Prussian style marching ain't *nothing look a lot like this!*
@@Kalashnikov413 Well it is based on prussian march
@@user-vq1ej9bw4o still not a Prussian style
It would be a mistake for have the HK Police adopt PLA style drill. The HK Police will lose itsir soul if this happens. The HK police is probably the best police force in the world (how many people did they kill during the last 'troubles'? NONE). I've seen them in action in HK during my many travels there, and HK residents should be glad to have constables who behave in a professional manner with high integrity, unlike what happens too often here in North America. This police force has a regimental type para-military system, and it is its traditions that promote pride and esprit de corps in its members; that esprit de corps drives its excellence.
BTW, I'm not a supporter of the independence movement, masquerading as a call for democracy, as it breaks the Basic Law and the terms of the reunification of 1997; HK is part of China, period. However, as China presents itself as a tolerant multi-ethnic country, HK should be recognized as the 57th ethnic nation of China, police traditions and all. While China is right in demanding that the UK and the US mind their own business, HK Police drill has got nothing to do with colonialism.
You're stupid! The Chinese nation is not divided by region! The majority of Hong Kong people are Han
@@guangli2942 It's got nothing to do with race, you monron, it's got to do with culture; their culture is different. HK'ers hate mainlanders BTW.
@@marclandreville6367 Are you Anglo pirates still daydreaming of colonizing Hong Kong? Hong Kong's "one country, two systems" will come to an end in another 20 years, and it will be a city in Guangdong.
@@guangli2942 Can you read further than your nose? I don't dispute at all that HK is China. But HK is unique within China, a lot more unique than many Chinese autonomous regions. China is not a melting pot like the US, and that is what distinguishes Marxist-Leninist thought: the recognition of national differences within the state. That's why China recognizes its 55 different minority nations; most are not that recially different than Han, but some cultures are very different and are recognized as such, such as those nations in XinJiang, and the People's Republic of China recognizes these cultures. They should do the same for HK. Or are you saying that China should assimilate all 55 minorities into one culture, including wiping out Uyghur culture?
@@marclandreville6367 HK was under colonial rule for 150 years. It's government, police, education, finance, etc were all influenced by the legal and educational system of British colonialism as did the HK police. To celebrate that so called uniqueness is to celebrate the influence of colonial and Chinese subservience to imperialism because it had not been autonomous for 150 years - it is under subjugation by foreign powers. That contrast it from the other ethnic minority group if we're leaving race of out the discussion. Furthermore, it has no independent religion uninfluenced by colonialism, it's language originated from Guangzhou region as does Chinese customs which are Han.
If, after the complete and total elimination colonial influence, Hong Kong develops its language, culture, etc., then at that time, and only starting at that time would the consideration of separate identity of Hong Kong be worth entertaining. Prior to the complete elimination of colonial influence, the acknowledgement of HK as a unique identity in Chinese society is to recognize subservience and subjugation of Chinese people as a celebration of China's multi-cultural identity - that should not be accepted. The same way extremist religion would not be celebrated as its own unique identity in China. Example is that all Uighur women have the right to find and work even if extremist ideology forbids it; as the right to economic independence will trump religious "culture" under Chinese law as is with adult marrying a child bride, which is also prohibited under Chinese law regardless if cultural practices condones that behavior. Unless you're telling China to celebrate Western imperialism and colonialism, HK needs to completely rid of its colonial influence before moving forward - just as China should NOT condone child bride weddings because it "tradition", "culture" or "soul".

@@Blindswordsman1994 The author of a country that has a monarch. Projection is strong in you. At least they will now be on equal footing as a British person, instead of treated as sub-humans. Taking morality lesson from the ilk of UK is like taking child-raising advice from a pedophile.
@Tian Wong glad to hear there are people who like being enslaved in this world
@@j2dsf4w63 second class citizens in their own city. Have no choice over who can rule them. Isn’t this like colonialism all over again???
@@Blindswordsman1994 The definition your "second class citizens" exists to those who adopted the Anglo-Saxon racial caste system and feels being Chinese is beneath them. Furthermore, the opinion of the violent, radical minority of self-identified "non-Chinese" occupants does not dictate the rule of a city. Role of the government is to respond to the needs of its citizens. Hong Kong is a Chinese city; it therefore serves the needs of its Chinese civilians. When it serves the interest of "non-Chinese" occupant, it then is under colonization. As such, Hong Kong is heading towards the antithesis of colonialism as the Chinese governance attempts to sheds itself from "non-Chinese" occupants' political and actual terrorism.
Wow! Amazing!
Cringe
Hell yeah baby 👍

UK government supports the HK rioters and offers 2nd class citizenship to them. You can indulge in your "HK is doomed" fantasy, that's your "facts". Some detractors had already proclaimed the "death" of HK in 1997 😁
Higher spirit marching instead of colonial marches

全國山河一片红,全世界無產者联合起來!
But they are Chinese or not! 🤔
That's the issue. Partly yes, partly no.
we view them as british
@Tian Wong Hong Kong has experienced a very different history to Communist China and therefore its people are different. Just as Tibetans, Uighurs and Mongolians have different culture to that of Han people. Beijing's unwillingness to let people on the edges of Chinese society have real autonomy and ultimately self determination points to a very real weakness and fear; not strength and confidence. Your slogan (They ARE Chinese and only Chinese.) is a perfect example. You might be able to scare people but you won't make them love China like that. Is that really the type of country you want?
@Tian Wong If the Uighurs love China so much, why are they put in camps?
@Tian Wong Oh I see. The camps are fake news. Of course. Now I get it
PLA marching seems to have much more ego and unnatural.
Its pretty much a sumbol of discipline and pride in the military so thats why it seems unnatural
