This is home for me I live in western yamhill county. Every Sunday this time of year I hunt the north coast of Oregon. Quail and ruffs the occasional blue if you know where to look if I’m not there it’s east of the deschutes river. Oregon has superb upland hunting. Great video gentleman
Nice to see large coveys of Mt quail! I spend a lot of time out by where these guys found their chukar and valley quail. In fact have hunted those very same spots and done well as seen in these vids here, Chukar: ua-cam.com/video/jEs3sf14Efk/v-deo.html Pheasant/Quail: ua-cam.com/video/VUOomgALouw/v-deo.html Pheasant: ua-cam.com/video/VUOomgALouw/v-deo.html
Great video! I live just north in Washington state and it's almost exactly the same. I've never shot mountain quail, but lots of California quail, chucker, Hungarian partridge and three different species of grouse; Blue, Spruce and Ruffed. It's unfortunate that for me, pheasants usually take a back seat to other upland species. In western Washington all the hunting is for pen raised, planted pheasants. Not even close to the intelligence of wild pheasants! After the second time of being peppered by another hunters shot, i gave up hunting pheasants on the west side of the state. To many nuts with guns!!
Funny pheasants forever hunting chukar which are prolific. Do you know how many wild pheasant I shot in, idaho this year? None. Can't say this organization is worth its salt. Not in the least in the west. Based on profits and prestige to be exact. Bth, I've shot 200 chukar this year, a number of huns, and sage grouse in Idaho & oregon, but no pheasant, thanks, guys.
Dang this gets me excited for next year.
I'm excited for THIS year
Great video!
That was some great action there!

Valley quail are hands down my favorite bird! Headed out to hunt them this morning.
Job well done!!!!!!
Great video! Love how you got on several different species, one of my favorite things about upland hunting
Nate nice to see Tika working in that beautiful country!

Looked like a great time in a beautiful place. Great scenery and video. Thanks
Great video. This video, rooster road trip, on the wing podcast… whew PF is putting out some good content!
Home sweet, home. My son and I saw a bunch last deer season.
Really cool video! Yeah that’s standard chukar behavior, 50-100yds downhill if not killed stone dead, hide in tight cracks. Good on you for finding it
Nice 👍🏻
Awesome video!
Congratulations!
I wish quail forever and pheasants forever had habitat areas here in Oregon it would be very nice if you do where

Shocked you all didnt get a Pheasant when you hit the river with the Valley Quail.
Very cool video!! Is it legal to hunt/shoot from a road like that?
what are your recommendations for someone getting into it?
Trust the dog and its nose
What chokes and shot sizes did you select for this. I feel it would be hard to decide. The chukur hunt was epic guys!!
I got into a nice bunch about 20 minutes south of the spot they were hunting chuks: ua-cam.com/video/jEs3sf14Efk/v-deo.html
Great video by the way, I’m first
DAMNIT
Very interesting subject matter, but difficult to watch with the music playing behind the conversation. The music is very unnecessary.
