Hey guys and welcome back to Mad About Skin, today we are taking a look at the viral sensation which is the NIOD survival range delivering a powerful combination of antioxidants with varying levels of SPF coverage.
I have tried a number of NIOD products on this channel before and they have always scored highly which is why I am super excited to try this product which many of you have been recommending to me. NIOD Survival 0 is a high level antioxidant which claims to have 15 different mechanisms of action to protect the skin from oxidative stress and free radicals, the Survival 10, survival 20 and survival 30 all have the added benefit of a mineral sunscreen.
So will this be another NIOD hit or one of their rare misses, keep watching to find out.

I don't personally use an antioxidant but I need to add one to my routine. I've got so many stand alone ingridient products and my skincare routine is out of control because of it. I need a product that does more than add antioxidants to my routine and combine steps instead of making another but I do recognize that I need antioxidants either way. Thanks for the great review!
Did you try the Paula choice ones? They have several antioxidant options and they seem well formulated

100% agree! Love the survival 0. Haven’t tried the spf yet because I live in US and it’s not currently available. Haven’t been disappointed yet with Noid. Can’t wait to try more!
Hey hun thank you so much for watching.. I didn't know the spf versions were not avaliable in the US.. I actually prefer the survival 0 and just adding my favourite SpF to it xx
I was trying the surival zero for half a year, thinking that the spf formulation wasnt very nice from what i heard. I bought the survival 30 one month ago and it's just amazing! It leaves my skin so pretty... The survival 0 didnt do that. But well i still use it as i've got some stock. Also the survival 30 takes one step out of my already long routine so thats great.

Thank you so so much for watching hun.. I dont think people realise that lower SPFs can be a good option for darker skin tones as it avoids some of the white cast, so many people say spf50 or nothing which is the wrong approach to take... sending you lots of love xxxx

Have just purchased a 3 new Niod products. Survival 0 is one of them. Your videos are so informative! Binge watching them now on the Niod products. Went for the 0 as I wear 50+ sunscreen here in Australia 🇦🇺

Survival 0 is holy grail status, most definitely. What your getting from the price is practically unheard of - the only ones I know of that might compare are at minimum $100 per ounce. And (I think) you forgot to mention astaxanthin, dimethylmethoxy chromanol, and the tomato extract, all of which are very, very powerful antioxidants, on top of the other antioxidants you discussed. Plus it has prebiotics for barrier health and algae extracts for more environmental protection. Paula Begone is shaking in her boots.
Will ELAN and S0 disturb their antioxidants property? I kinda want to combine them
I have been using the survival 30 for a month and love it but going to purchase the survival 0 next and mix it with my favourite spf x
Why does it say it's for night time use on their site? I started to think about the antioxidants as effective during the daytime and with sunscreen? LOVE your content Rob, and your FB group with Tom!💙💙💙
@@theshepard22 My logic is that they want you to use the survival spf during the day & the survival 0 at night. So you can use the survival 0 any time of day it’s just conducive for them if we buy 2 different products for different times of day. Antioxidants can be good for nighttime use as well since they help the skin repair itself after dealing with the pollution, ultraviolet rays & stresses of the day. But daytime use is great too. Ideally both? Since some antioxidants lose their effectiveness on the skin after a few hours.

Hi Rob - love your work! Have followed your videos for so long! I recently bought the Survival 30 and am about to use it, but it just occurred to me… do I use it in the serum step of my routine since it is called a serum, or do I use it after moisturiser because it is also a physical sunscreen? Thanks!
I love survival 0, have been using it only about a month now, but will stick to it. I don't go with spf less than 50, so the other 2 with that addition are not for me, but might work for someone else. beautiful product

I’m confused by the spf in this, isn’t spf meant to be the last step in your skincare? If so why would it be in a serum? Can you still layer products over the top of you get the spf?
I bought repigment and survival 0 on your recommendation. Does it matter which one goes on your skin first?
Hey hun great question and I am so glad you have decided to give the products a try, I hope you love them as much as me.. I use the re pigment first then the survival as they tend to layer better that way.. I hope this helps xx

I been using the survival zero serum. I’ve checked out their ingredients on incidecoder and there are lots of good and intriguing ingredients. Also I’ve been using the Purito Comfy Water block and there have been no reactions. ✌🏾still concerned about their low level of mineral actives in the Purito Comfy Water SPF.

I spend 12 hours a day in front of computer. Have they made studies to show how much does it protect from the blue light?
.....And I bought the wrong one!!! I thought the 30 had the highest amount of antioxidants, not the 0. I am confused as to how to use it. In the morning I suppose if it's SPF 30? Would I be able to apply my SPF chemical 50++++ over the top of the 30?
I also love the Resist Anti-Aging Ultra-Light Antioxidant Serum by Paula’s Choice.
I do as well. Is is very hydrating and brightens my skin.
Rob! Love the hair cut. I have yet to try a NIOD product but they seem like they work really well. Just wish they weren't so expensive!
I am pondering whether to try the survival 30 so I can avoid other SPFs as they tend to be very aggressive to my skin. I might give it a try, in that case I'll let you know! 😘

Is there any clinical evidence for any of these antioxidant ingredients? That is used on actual people. Just always skeptical on if an antioxidant you put on top of your skin will actually make it in to do anything
If I don't wear an antioxidant, or I wear an antioxidant that's ineffective, after a few hours in the sun my hyperpigmentation will look really dark. Even if I'm wearing sunscreen. Whereas using a good antioxidant serum (like the Niod one), underneath my sunscreen prevents that. So it definitely does something.
Will try to get these products.. But it is very tough to get them in India . also love your videos, very informative ❤
I love the product, but it does seem to be slightly scented. Even though there is no fragrance and essential oil in it. Does anyone know which ingredient give this the product its scent? Is it the squalene?

I am so sad that the Survival range does look good on Black/Dark Skins.. It looks like a white ashy colouring.. ghost look complexion. I can only use Survival 0
Hey hun, I think this is one of the main issues of mineral sunscreens it so hard to make them work on deeper skin shades which is such a shame.. At least NIOD have the survival 0 which gives the amazing antioxidants you need to pair with a sunscreen which does work.. Out of interest what would your recommendation be for a sunscreen which works on darker skin tones? Sending lots of love xx

I know this is unrelated to the content of the video, but has anyone here tried the probiotic Beekman 1802 products?
I added it to my list when you mentionned it but Niod doesn’t give much details about the ingredients that would conflict with it, it has a high Ph and I was wondering if it could be used with acids
What Ph does it have?
