@@Rotterdam-ik3pw A general answer is YES. However, it is a bit more complicated, the fanatical fans of AEK are politicized and have very good relations with foreign fans of other teams with common political beliefs. Like Marseille and Livorno.
AEK's opponents also have good relations with fans of other teams abroad, such as Olympiacos with crvena zvezda, PAOK with Partizan, Panathinaikos with Rapid Wien , Ajax etc.
No one will bother you because you are a "foreigner", it is our pleasure to host you. If you come with the "wrong" shirt... maybe you will get a bit of bullying from some more fanatics.

I'm a huge football manager fan and I have a severe soft spot for AEK after doing a 23 season run with them. When I visited Greece I had to visit the stadium and bought some merch as a sign of thanks to a great club. Greek football does not get the recognition it deserves. I'm from Newcastle who are known to have great fans but some of the European mainland clubs really take it to another level. AEK for life, from an English fan !
The guy in the front row to your right is an AEK legend.. Thomas Mavros... He is 1 of the 4 you see in the corners of the arena in the big pictures... you can see him at 6:50 of the video..

If you're staying in Greece I absolutely suggest you try and go to the cup final. It's AEK VS PAOK and it's the only game where fans of both teams are allowed so the experience is very different.

Assuming Olympiacos lose tomorrows game (Friday) against Fenerbahce we are going to come back for one final match in SEF (Olympiacos stadium) where winner takes all. The winner will go through to the final fours (a huge thing in European basketball). The atmosphere will be out of this world. Last year on this game Kevin Durant nicknamed us the apocalypse. What did not happen on that matchday (3-May), eventually happened the next one , today 8-May Panathinaikos was defeated, and fell 3 pts behind AEK, with one matchday to go. AEK will probably be crowned champion as they only need 1 point, a draw, having the last match in home against Volos (currently 6th place). In that case, the celebrations in Opap Arena, and all around the city, will be just on the Insane level. Hope Emeka can make it, and be in that game also. Thanks for the content so far.
