Great video. I wish you guys were local to San Diego. I've tried three times to explain to local garage door companies what I want, and they look at me like I'm crazy.
Looks great! How come the rails along the ceiling go that far back if the door doesn’t need to? Was that the only place to anchor them in the ceiling framing?
I believe you can get them from Home Depot or Lowe’s. Genie just came out with their side mount model last year. Much better in my opinion. Smaller, stronger and less moving parts that can go wrong
Yep no big deal I've installed a thousand of them in fact I have most of the time had to cut and fabricate the track myself including the jam brackets progressing upwards to the ceiling I had a major argument with the door manufacturer anymore one time with a giant slant door because I have done it more than once and I know that you do not need coned drums to lift a slant door even if it has a little bit of high lift to it all you need are bigger springs I know that for a fact because I have done it everybody goes by what the manufacturers say but I am a 25-year veteran and I have made things work that most garage door technicians would go you're full of crap well I'm telling you I'm not full of crap you don't need progressive cones to make a slant door work you just need the right springs I have made springs I haven't made cables, I did it for years
Of course not the door is lifting the same distance and coiling same amount the extra cable doesn't get coiled just needed to reach door from greater height . Ill take a backyard mech with years of experience over a """"professional""" straight out of school any day. Keep Doing You Bro

Great job on the video, thank you. short and to the point, sweet!
That liftmaster is so quiet compared to before!
The door is loud because nobody ever lubricated it.
Nice job. I would have shortened the length of the top track seeing that it doesn't use it all.
Yeah, that was my thinking as well.
Looks great!

Nice! I love the windows in that door.
Nice job:)
Great job. I am curious why your tracks are still the length? Why didn’t you shorten the tracks?
The old opener on the door I would love one of those chamberlain openers
i have a 1280
Liftmaster 1270 cool!
Colton Beedy if you want it $30
I have a 1280
Could the door rails have touched the ceiling?
Does the door have to be replaced?
Nice job thanks for the video
Just what I was looking for...Thank you.
What a lovely video!
nice install
You did the best job ever!
What does the opener on the big door have? Sounds like a 8355?
How much did it cost?
I would love to have that old garage door motor
I want one.
Nice job :)
Who made the torsion springs for you?
How must room is from the railing and the ceiling? It looks like about 2 to 3 inches.
I just bought a clopay 16x7 coachman with an overlay very similar to yours, and they said it's 320lbs. Is your 8x7 really 300 lbs?
There is a new model @liftmaster 8500W and this is stronger rated. It should not have a problem at all with 320lbs.
With it being wood, and the overlays, flush interior surface material and the glass a door like this can easily go to 300 lbs for a single car size
Nice
Why go to two springs? Otherwise, nice job!
becuase the door is to heavy for just 1 spring
How come the high garage work with no chain
@@qurat-ul-aintahir6080 its different system.and you probably talking about commercial vertical lift door
Sure could of shortened the top track by 4’
Never seen garage opener mounted to the side? where do you get these at?
I believe you can get them from Home Depot or Lowe’s. Genie just came out with their side mount model last year. Much better in my opinion. Smaller, stronger and less moving parts that can go wrong
You really should paint those doors to match
Should be standard height in the first place.
