Now that the Jimmy is very quick to set up for simple and comfortable camping trips I took the opportunity to spend a day and overnight surrounded by rapeseed and waist high nettles. It was warm and a great place to chill out late into the night.
I overcooked the burgers of course, why change the habit of a lifetime.
During this camp finished a small leather working project (one of a huge list) to help with storage of some camping essentials. I simple but fun project with quite a nice end result considering I was winging the design and have not made that particular item before.
I hope you enjoy watching the video and the shorter, slightly faster paced video. I'm trying to not over indulge and bore you all with not much going on in the videos. Let me know your thoughts? I can only make more of what you like if you let me know. If you're happy watching it, I'm happy making it.

Feels pretty dialed in now mate. Got some more storage mods to design but that’s all icing on the cake. Will need to make a roof shelter for the kitchen but that can wait for the weather to turn 👍

Hi thank you. The horse was very sick and it was some sort of disinfectant to avoid spreading it into other fields on my way out of the campsite.

It started to play up on our way back from a weekend in wales then heading to bushcraft show the weekend after it completely gave up the ghost had to get it recovered home so missed the show. I’ve started the search for a new box so hopefully get her back up and running in the next couple of weeks

Hi mate, well I’ve been looking at them for a long time. I wouldn’t pay the £250-300 that most places sell them for. But Dobbies has them half price. £149 a steal if you ask me.
It’s ultimately for the garden but I’ll take it to camps where fire rings aren’t normally used.
I think it’s really good. It produces less smoke but it’s not smokeless like they claim.

Hi Mark, ah yeah I’ve not added that as it’s a recent purchase. It’s called dometic Go water faucet. Should come up if you google it. I didn’t buy the water container, just the tap.

Hi David. Yes it’s for the midges. First time I’ve used one. Normally spray on Avon skin so soft 😂 they don’t like that. The coil burner I bought on Amazon and was surprised how well it worked.

any info on your coffee dripper set up? how did you make it??
Hi Luke, it’s a normal coffee dripper stand that I threaded an m8 bolt into. Then added a rivnut in the worktop. There’s a lot of ways to make this. The one I’d bought was metal not wood so this was the easiest way to install it.

Rarely make burgers camping but I think I’ll try different ones in future. So tasty in the fresh air. Maybe wagyu next time (can pretend I’m posh!)
