If you have SFA as your home park for your season pass, you’ll have to go there to activate it first before you go to SFGA... hopefully you’ll get the Batwing credit soon. SFA is much better now than it was a few years ago, weekday staffing aside.
The park was closed because schools in Maryland have not gotten out yet (I get out of school this Thursday), so they wouldn't have enough staffing or guests. The park did start every day operation this week though
I live in Maryland and the cicadas were wild lol.😭 every time I walked the dog I was ambushed. And also six flags doesn’t get the visitors to pay the staff to be open as much as Hershey.😭😬 I like the roller coasters but I also it’s kind of run down
oh my g o d, we went camping right in the middle of that brood. one night i left my shoes outside of the tent and woke up to like 6 cicadas in each one 😧
On my old account, currently Lindsay Yale Entertainment, I did a series called The Agency Tales. Some have already been unlocked on this account (but are unlocked not in chronological order except for the multi-parters), similar origins (although I was already thinking about it). See Tale 1 for that explanation, Tale 11 is also a good one.
Season 1 (2019) mostly revolves around the Summer of ‘16 when I rode my first coaster with a vertical lift/drop (Impulse at Knoebles) and Kingda Ka back to back weekends, achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, went to Europe for the first time (through a program called American Music Abroad, being a member of the Bronze Tour), a road trip hitting up Dollywood; Holiday World; and getting to Cedar Point just to see what was up (I have relatives who live near Dollywood and Holiday World so that helped keep costs down, as well as mom skipping Holiday World & Cedar Point), and seeing Celtic Thunder in concert (I’d seen the Bagpipe Carillon Concert my church did a few times, but no real concerts other than the ones I did in Orchestra (3rd grade), band (4th grade), or Choir (elementary-AMA).
Season 2 (2020) is mainly an arc mostly spanning the transition to high school (2014) although the 2000’s/early 2010’s, and 2015 til COVID also pop up in the first half (tales 10 and 13 were not planned until COVID. 10 is almost an extension of 9 and 13 although fits aesthetically was backburner till a possible season 3 next year (since I was planning on studying abroad in Spain this past semester, SP22 now). I have no plans for any new episodes, but who knows
I been there before but before I was a coaster enthusiast I fill so sorry JD you was so excited for it but it was closed I was a Hershey park yesterday and I have fun it was nice to ride storm runner again same with the others coasters Here is my coaster count 15 candy monium 2 sky rush 2 great bear 2 storm runner (stormy) 2 Fahrenheit 1 wild cat ( the crying seal brakes coaster) 1 your favorite lighting racer I have a good day yesterday and also I meet James he was working on candy monium
Just make sure if you go to great adventure first your season passes are not for SFA, because they won't let you in if you haven't activated them yet at SFA.
The park being closed definitely sounds disappointing. But yeah, summer schedule was way later than what’s normal, both for schools and the park. I hope there’s no hard feelings though. SFA doesn’t need anymore bad publicity. They’re really trying this year.
LOL, you're quite a riveting story-teller, JD! 😆👍 The vivid descriptions of the cicada-dodging episode and the over-enthusiastic fueling at Sheetz; the lesson-of-the-day, crucial for any park-goer looking to avoid a "rude awakening"; and the impassioned outburst at the end -- definitely a compelling "pilot" to the story-time series. And, yeah, one of the absolute scariest, most horrifying phrases to see/hear at an amusement park is "closed today". (Ugh, I CRINGE to even think about it!)
Very tragic. And we would love more sit down and talk stories!😂 (As you said hopefully more happier ones) Perfect example of using what you learn from school in real life: Do Your Research!!!!🤣
Feel your pain. My birthday is on June 2 and I always go to parks on my bday week. This year, however, most parks were closed on weekdays until late June. Knoebels and Kennywood were the lone exceptions other than Hershey.
Just went today all coasters were open except for Wild One which is severely underrated next time you hit my HP let me know u deserve flash passes you and Cam
Funny thing, I'm around the corner from there qwq Edit: also I have thoses bugs all around my house, we can't leave the house without getting spanked in the head by one
So actually SFA wasn't in their Summer Schedule yet. They line up Summer Season with the local school schedule. In the DC area we don't get out until June 11th.
Hey I've made mistakes before in doing coaster planning. When I went to Dorney Park the hotels were extremely expensive so I decided to book a quality inn... Don't ever go to quality inns near Philadelphia... U may just be asked for meth after walking into the lobby 🙃
@@StevenNeidlein I disagree. I actually find it a fantastic park that provides a great experience every time. I actually prefer it to both Great Adventure, Morey's piers, six flags america, and Kennywood in terms of other parks in the region.
I'll keep this in mind next time I seek out a rare park with a credit they aren't operating for incredibly stupid reasons and say "Sorry folks, ride's closed. Our Facebook page shoulda told you" (ie one family doing a repaint that totally could have been done when the park was closed for COVID-at least Sylvan Beach had some cool older flat rides and tons of pre-video arcade games like 21, 5 of a kind, vintage skee ball, ect so I still had a fun day) or I run into a locker policy like the one at Great Adventure where they won't even accept a zipper pocket (I was able to...mask...my car key from them in a zipper pocket because of certain loopholes) or there's an overpriced park I know is overpriced not opening the 1 ride that isn't a Zamperla kiddie ride until 1 because for some reason safety checks can't be done when they're done for every other ride because I want to go to the real park in the afternoon (I ended up just moving when I had Chipotle for the most part, obviously I'm talking about Sesame Place)
Amusement parks are multi-billion dollar companies. Cut the CEO/VP/COO/Board Members pay, and pay a decent wage to entice people to work at work park. It's called being competitive in the job market. If you can't adapt, your company sinks. If their company makes all that money and they don't want to pay their employees enough to want to work for them, they will close for good. I mean Cedar Point is offering $15 an hour....
@@CoasterRoaster Yeah, I'd like to go sometime, specifically to ride Batwing and because I live only a couple hours away. Just what I read while scrolling past :P
Sox(pun intended)dude. But the day after your tragedy, I went to Six Flags Great Adventure for the first time and it wasn't great either, it was Flags-Tastic. I thought it was so great that the park's name shouldn't be the way it is. It should called, "Six Flags The Next Journey". During my stay, I rode every roller coaster except Kingda Ka, but I wasn't really disappointed about that. First of all, it actually closed because a storm was heading its way, and second of all, I wasn't 100% sure to go on Kingda Ka, but if there's anything I could miss out on something, it would be a coaster with a fast way to reach its top speed and be so tall, you'd pass out. I rode my second B&M hyper, second B&M floorless, first RMC credit, and first of the 4 worldwide intamin prefabs. That coaster became my new number 1, and I was so happy. But I did have a new number 1 worst overall coaster, but of course, that's never a big deal. I'm really happy to tell you my story at a Six Flags park on super similar days. And please reply to this message as soon as you can.
I live about half an hour away from SFA, but I would much rather make the hour-and-a-half drive to Hersheypark. And this is from someone who was once an SFA regular. Oh, and cool story, bro. :)
That BLOWS! And I agree it's some TOTAL B.S.!! 🤬 .... but never assume J.D. (still dumb they weren't open, same goes for KD) Hopefully you get to go (and have a good time).

No staff, and no weekday crowds yet. School was still in session. Plus select rides are only operating on weekends due to staffing shortages, just like every place else is experiencing.
NOTE: This video was recorded on June 9th, hence why some things are outdated. Also, don’t make the same mistake that I did LMAO
I kinda dig the way you pronounced CICADA…sounds like a delicious tropical cocktail 🍹😋😂
THANK YOU SOMEONE WHO ISNT HATING.
I notice there aren’t many high quality POV’s of Reese’s Cupfusion! Can you please do one for us please?

this is how all six flags parks work i think. you activate it at your "home" park and then its usable anywhere

Its probably because Maryland Schools weren't out yet. I jus got out yesterday (the 15th), but GOOD NEWS, the park is now open everyday.
