Hi Jose! Your exploration of Erie, PA, is truly enlightening. It's remarkable how you capture this and other often-overlooked cities' nuanced beauty and hidden gems. Your perspective is refreshing and insightful, making me eager to see more. Keep up the exceptional work! I hope you are well!
Thanks John its great hearing form you. These smaller cities never get as much attention as the mega metropolitan neighbors they're surrounded by when they just as much interesting history and attractions.
This is a great video. Here is one thing your viewers should know. You can tell when someone is not from here when talking about the beach. They call it Presque Isle. People that are from Erie call Presque Isle "The Peninsula" or just the beach.
That area between Buffalo, Erie and the rest of Upstate NY is notorious for Snow because of the Lakes depth. Its strange because its the shallowest so it creates bizarre weather patterns.
@@EricCampbellUAV I can't remember the last time we've had a major snowstorm in our area similar to those blizzards we use to have just 10-20 years ago.
Thank you for the feedback. I added a correction in the video description. Writing Isle and researching Island/hearing it so many times sneaked past us when we reviewed the final product and voice over.
early on I did a video about Harrisburg / Hershey but its a more skimmed video being that I was caught in an unexpected blizzard. Here is the link if your curious: ua-cam.com/video/g6maCsFI1x8/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared I want to do a follow up since it was the early days and with better weather.
Hello from Erie. Thanks for the PR, but it's hard to get past the use of "Presque Island". It is never, ever called that. "Presque Isle" or "the peninsula".
Thank you for stopping by my video and providing feedback. Someone mentioned it earlier and its been one of the pronunciations that I'm most embarrassed about and both myself and partner did not catch it while filming, especially since we've visited Erie several times in the past and have always called it Presque Isle. We were going back and forth with the writing and history and somehow the "Island" stuck in our heads, especially after watching Andrew Zimmerman in Bizarre World make the same mistake. I was originally going to take the video down and re-do a lot of the voice and audio work but came across some technical challenges with the in-person vocals which seemed out of place. I left the video uploaded to own the mistake and act as a reminder when I come across similar issues in the future as I have in some other videos. I added a note in both the comments section and the video description for the proper pronunciation.

I love Erie so much it makes my mind blow i hope someone gets that joke
Hi Jose, you do a marvelous job. Could you tour Fredericksburg, Va soon???
Thank you, I have planned Fredericksburg as my opening video for when I create a tour of VA for possibly next spring/summer
@@JoseOnTour that’s awesome! Thank you and God bless you.
Erie fun fact. They accumulate the second most total snowfall on average in the US only behind Syracuse NY. The random stuff in my head lol

it doesn’t snow much anymore. climate change. mild winters for like the last 5 years

That is not something to brag about. We have horrible winters in Erie. Way too much snow.
. I don't agree. We get plenty of snow & who wants it?
The lighthouse shown is on the bayside , it was a water pump in the old days.
Good video but the peninsula is not called Presque Island it's Presque Isle. Thanks

Do any of your videos cover Hershey Park in PA?

"The many ducks" shows a goose lol
Smith's hot dogs are served at Sara's. They're great.
Great job. Except, its Presque ISLE. The state park is firmly attached to Erie making it an isle, not an island.
