TAKING A SWIM

Winter westerly shamal winds are blowing again on Wednesday 17, January 2024. It's a good time to practice one's remounts when the wind is blowing and the sea is bumpy. The remount was from the right side of my ski, which is always my difficult side to remount from. I had to flip the ski over to unwrap my leg leash before attempting my remount. I was on the upwind side of the ski and got onto my ski on my first attempt. Good practice before I head down to paddle the Millers in South Africa in March.
