Clay I'm trying to get into the livestream for the meet up and I'm not seeing any live link.....where do i need to go?
It’s crazy how a lot of people that talk bad have never even been on a truck or bought a Snapon tool
Exactly it’s irritating
100%
Or they’re the people borrowing tools and having broken down tools that can’t do the jobs anymore lol
Yep. Haters gonna hate.
I've been on enough tool trucks to know there is a significant amount of smack talking on there. It's just what goes on.
There’s people who don’t buy snap-on because they legitimately dislike it; then there’s the rest of us who don’t buy snap-on because we legitimately cannot afford it. 😂
Make no mistake, we can't afford it either but they still take our money
My father once told me
We can’t take life too seriously because we’re not gonna make it out alive… 😂
Your money you buy what you want. Snapon is my number one go to tools.
I 100% agree with you I recently started my snap on collection with my 1st ratchet and some people say how could you spend that much on a ratchet I know people that's people that spend that on on other things in one night , Everybody spends their money different I'd rather have a quality tool
Ive tried so many tools I have too many tools. When it comes to sockets and ratchets snap on is the best! IN MY OPINION
There is a difference but you always go the guy who has the 'bucket-o-tools' who is like a multi-millionaire who can fix anything who spent $9.99 on tools.
I know a lot of people who worked at the Algona snap on plant. Lot of pride running through that plant. It’s been around a long time
I must admit that I'm jealous of the friendship that the two of you have with each other. However, if Jovin invites you and the Misses on vacation with them, you might want to avoid the pool altogether. 😅
That was a funny story!
Definitely avoid a vacation trip to Las Vegas with them aswell
Either avoid the pool, or drink heavily the whole time. I personally would vote for the "drink heavily". What could possibly go wrong?
I am in my 60s and still buying Snap On like a kid in a sweet shop 🤣
It sounds bad, but I’m gonna say it... I wish people that can’t afford quality would stop hating on MEN that work hard and appreciate quality! Let it begin, say something keyboard boys....
Amen !
"I could go to the umm ahhh lumber store Aww hell I don't even know where to by a tape measure" 😅 😆
I spend between 5 and 10 grand a year with my snap on dealer, problem is he is close to retiring and never has any promotions or any thing on truck, also my friends tell me that there dealer never co es around not much on truck, its always I can try to order it,my opinion snap on is great but they need to step up there game with new stuff and find a way so customers can report bad experiences to snap on and do something about arrogant dealers or dealers that just half a,, it,its the customers that suffer
Hamilton: If you’re route isn’t full hit up machine shops we machinist love tools & usually make good money.
Good video. One reason why small shop and individuals do not like snap on is 1. Attitude of tool truck dealers, not every dealer is like Jeremy Haasl ( #1 you tube snap on dealer) 2. High price of re branded tools like vise grips, which before were junk. 3. warranty problems with local dealers part of #1 Snap on does have the specialty tools that no one else has which is why I still deal with them. It is back to your saying "it is not the tool but the man on the truck selling the tool". Keep the snap on videos coming.
Same here I needed a MM tape measure and snap on was there and said just give it to me i needs it now instead of using my SAE one and trying to get it close and convert it to MM
I finally made the step onto the snap on truck and I bought my 1st ratchet a 3/8 F80 I always wanted good brand tools but never understood the price But then I say to myself I could be spending my money on worse things in life So why not invest in quality tools I'm glad I bought the ratchet it is a great ratchet so far I'd plan on keep buying snap on thanks to your videos , Other things I read is like why would you spend like why would you spend $150 on a ratchet when you can buy a set for that price but that set is trying to compete with snap on you are Better just 2 buy it once and buy it right. Snap on from hear on out I'm also going to buy the TL72 next.
When I did my water pump on my duramax I put a breaker bar on the harmonic balancer bolt put it against the frame and turned the truck over quick piped it right loose worked great one of the older techs showed me that trick
It’s snap on Friday! Thanks Clay!
Love the snapon brand. I switched to snapon 12 years ago after buying Dewalt and other manufacturers' products witch often left me hanging on a job. Growing tired of this I spent some time researching tool manufacturers see who offered the best quality and longevity. Snap-on was always recommended. I made the switch and never had any issues or left hanging on the job 12 years later.
The Snap-on Jacks in question are the FJ300 and FJ400 both are made in China. BTW, I'm a die hard Snap-on and Have all Snap-on taps and Dies which are made by Irwin. I'm not a mechanic but about spend 15k/year. I just believe when discussing who makes what, we should all do our research.
Most are jealous that a person worked hard and has nice tools/home/truck/boat ect... they are unhappy and want others to be the way they are
True
Guy I work with is like that, has a bunch of Chinese craftsman, husky, HF, etc, and it works ok, but when he rounds a bolt I always gotta help him with my snappy sockets and wrenches
@@kylesonsalla7620 Nothing worse than a bunch of garbage tools. It like any profession a dentist working with rusty tools.
“You mean it’s not made in the same factory as harbor freight?” 😂
Thanks for the video Clay.
Professional Grade Tool's last longer period. My Matco, Mac and Snap-on dealer's service the shop where I'm at. Warranty is good. Worst part being in Debt 🤣
it used to be when you bought a snap on tool box it was warranty for life no question, now if you have to warranty the box they what to pro rate it WTF did I pay so much for the box for then,
people care way to much what other people do with their own money. i text my tool dealers the tools i need to replace, they show up with the replacement. that's what we pay for on top of the quality of a professional tool.
Hamilton and Michael are great people and great business men
You know i here that too! 2022 for me marks 44 years in the small engine repiar so i got me a new snap-on box and i'm so happy i got it. Some people think diff. i don't like the color i got blue and i love it any way life goes on.
So many people don’t even know about that RWD book. That is my go to for anything other than Snap on
Damn, look at all that sunshine! Here in the UK, it's nearly June and we're living in frigging Waterworld :-(
I love snap on tools! I love them because they are simply the best. I like matco and their ratchets but ultimately snap on has such a smooth ratchet and quality feeling. Just have to remember not to be a company fan boy and not every tool has to be a snap on. The people that hate them are jealous of the people that have them. It is not like they couldn’t have them to, they just can’t justify the price and want to be mad. It’s just silly. I can justify the price on their hand tools and they are worth the money. You don’t need 20 snap on ratchets but one or two nice ratchets and hand tools and your set for life.
Do you like selling your soul ?
@@LCculater 😂 It’s expensive but I tell you what their ratchets, wrenches, and pliers are must haves for me. I don’t recommend anyone have 50 snap on ratchets like some UA-camrs/ snap on fanboys but a good ratchet, 3 piece plier set and I got my wrenches from the pawn shop and you are set. Not necessary tools but I’m always happy when I use them. Hand tools are for life as well. I drive a truck/ mechanic at our shop and being out on a call or driving I can trust snap on shouldn’t fail me. I learned my lesson using cheap tools out away from the shop especially.
I swear the kids these days just dont understand sarcasm
I’ve got a blue point tape measure that you can wrap around a motor shaft and it’ll tell you the diameter. When I was building sand and gravel plants that was the handiest damn thing ever. I still have it in my drawer.
If it’s your money buy what you want I prefer Snap On because of my dealer. Tools are like pick ups every has a favorite truck.
As soon as he pulled the jack out I got a harbor freight ad
If you have a good dealer most people don’t understand like why not support your local small business because that’s what your tool truck guy is.! He buys those tools and pays for all the stuff you see in the truck to sell to you and warranty it! I don’t understand why people wouldn’t want to support small business like tool truck! I can say I do indeed have a good snap-on dealer and I feel lucky about it
It is a love hate relationship love their tools hate their prices🤣
Man I've been to Ripley. Went rooster fighting. You guys have some of the best roosters in the world. Love you're video's I'll give you love from Texas.
My neighbor and kin folk are the Yates and Jackson’s. If you fought roosters and seen them in this area that’s probably some of the bloodlines. It used to be real big here.
Is it that over 900.00 floor jack!!👀😂👊🏻at least they could do is add some led lighting...
Without a doubt their hand tools are some of the finest quality on the planet, yet their diagnostic and other tools are not up to par. The biggest issue in this day and time is you can find comparable tools at many other places for more than half the price. If I were starting out as a mechanic today, I'd definitely not walk on a tool truck, but rather buy quality tools elsewhere and put the extra money in my pocket. I was a professional mechanic for 30 years and I just wish I had all the money back that I totally wasted on tool trucks over the years.
That AC was so cold it made clays camera go dark haha
One thing I've learned Clay, and I've been turning wrenches as a full time living since 1993, is that 9 out of 10 people who badmouth Snap On tools have never even handled one. The remaining 1 out of 10 is usually a former Snap On dealer who's pissed off at corporate... LOL!
Man it’s just one day. This is going to be a big one. Live band. All the trucks. Good food. We are providing food and drinks and all. Good GAW prizes. Just come for Sat !
“Ive probably bought three tape measures in my whole life”
What?!?!?! I’ve got like 6 in my garage and 2-3 more in the shed
Never lost any of them. I keep up with my junk. Just didn’t have one at the shop when ai needed it.
Lol I have atleast 3 tape measure in my van and 3 in the tool box. Haha you just don't use them
I’ve got the aluminum snap on and love it 😎
Watched the video last weekend, this week went on the tuck and bought the tape measure. Just because.....
I feel that the people that complain about all snap on prices, are the ones that dont use the tools enough or for a living, to understand how important it is to have quality tools, that you love using. You have to have tools that you love using, it makes every job better when you have tools that you love using. I'm a chevy tech, and I will say, some of the prices, I cant justify paying myself, however, most of them I can justify. It's especially easy to justify the prices when its %100 made in the USA. People have been too comfortable and acclimated to buying dirt cheap tools that are made in sweat shops in china. With the way the economy is today, more people have to come to the realization that you have to start supporting American Made products again. Learn to budget and save money better on non essential things, so you can afford more expensive essential things that are 100% american made.
I like my snap on guy he gives me credit no one would give me anything and my dealer gave my credit because of my job!
Snap On tools are great, and they make tools that are 100% worth the price. The reason why lots of people are turning away from them is because other companies are starting to come out with quality tools at a much lower price.
I see that grease gun sitting up on the shelf and get a sore spot because I just bought one to use at work and found out after I bought it my company won't let me use it.
That sucks
Keep- just everybody’s extra parts 😆🤣😂
A Duramax is a labor of love LOL. I have to admit, Snap-On is growing on me. Granted you pay more money but customer service is outstanding if you have an excellent rep. If you pay regularly they'll take care of you. If you are a regular and you struggle they'll work with you. I do like their ratchets dead blows and tool carts. I do like the Blue Point ratcheting wrenches. I also have a lot of their industrial brand Williams tools. Their 36 tooth ratchets are tough and Williams screwdrivers are identical to the older Snap-On hard handles. The problem with Williams is their warranty. It's a bear. I don't mind paying that extra for customer service and convenience. Some Snap-On products I particularly don't care for. Their wrenches tend to bite into your hands. I prefer Proto ASD and Wright grip 2.0's they fit better in my hands. My point is we all have preferences on what works and what feels comfortable in the hand. Comfort is important, that's something you can't put a price on. Your hands make you money.
I don’t understand the folks that worry about how other people spend THEIR money. Hell I’m a diy shade tree guy and people bust my balls for having a box full of snap on, matco and Mac tools. How about you worry about what’s in your box and not mine.
LOL the best meters are no question, FLUKE hands down I have 2 one for home over 23 years old works like brand new, one for the big Snap on tool box, I have see many a technician spends hours only to find there meters are off, but the fluke never fails. if your going to buy a meter buy a fluke. Snap on is great but not always the best.
A lot of parts stores carry lisle
Hahah good Video you guys are too funny
I have been trying to get a 25’ tape measure from my dealer for months. He can’t get any in. All he has is the 5m. If you use one a lot, you can definitely tell the difference in the quality. Hopefully next week...
I’ll be honest Clay I did buy one because I thought it would look nice in my garage 😂 I’m in law enforcement now but I still work on vehicles and mess around with the project vehicle but I do still buy my tool truck brand tools because I’m good friends with all my dealers now. But the snap on Jack is a good Jack idk if I agree with the pricing because I replaced all my first Gen harbor freight jacks for all the new low profile colored jacks and for me they all do the job right. As for the meter I own a snap on meter, a matco meter, and a fluke meter and they all work for me I just grab which ever one is closet to me or which ever box I’m working out of. Like you’ve said in many of your snap on Friday videos and I’ve said it to a lot of my buddies that tell me you own to many tools the tool truck comes to you so that’s a huge convenience instead of going out and searching or ordering and waiting for something you may need ASAP.
Snap On just like all the other tool brands has a lot of good stuff and some not so good. I like the fact that Snap On still makes a lot of their own stuff, pliers, screwdrivers, ratchets, sockets, etc. AND... a lot of those are still made in the USA... Matco, Mac and Cornwell make very little of what the sell with their name on it. Snap On also doesn’t hide what is USA made and what is overseas... their website lists country of origin for all their part numbers.... You can’t say that for all the tool truck brands
I don’t mind spending a little more for something if the person selling it is a good dude. Service is something worth paying for.
It is Algoona I live in Iowa and travel to the bike rally there every year.
At the end of the day all trucks rebrand tools but all that matters is if you like it and supporting the small business man
Watching from New Zealand, I must agree with etc hosts, snap on tools are best.
Snap on makes some awesome tools
No body hates it, its just the prices that's all
Finally Friday
Can't beat snap on sockets for fitment end of 👍
Love Snap On. Expensive but worth every penny.
Well the funny thing about it the harbor freight jack is as if not better for half the price lol
Our best dealer where I'm at is matco. And I've been buying from lately got a Jamestown cart cause I outgrew my sunex cart. Stubby wrenches. An m18 battery (it died and milwaukee denied repair or replacement and he said he'd sell me one super cheap cause he felt like he cheated me)
My only problem with Snapon is when they re-brand are they license inferior products like the flashlights and pocket knives they sale at Costco all they are is rebranded Chinese garbage with a premium price I don’t mind paying for quality tools and paying for the service that the snap on dealer’s provide but when snap on tries to pass off Chinese junk as quality tools it’s total bullshit
Chinese stuff can be just fine / good
The problem is that it’s gonna cost you. The “advantage” of Chinese made stuff is its cheap, if you pay for the quality Chinese stuff it becomes way more expensive / less attractive (loses its main advantage)
wow that accent is tough LOL, gotta listen carefully to fully understand, and when they talk fast, sheeeet
I can only offer two opinions. #1 The tool company makes the product(s), the dealer makes the warranty. #2 If my Snap-On or MAC tools are so over priced, why do so many of my friends keep borrowing my over priced tools? Oh that's right their "made in china" crap is broke.
well no they just aren't stupid enough to buy the tools at those price like you and me.
My favorite Snap On is ratchet.
Then there are some people that don't like the Snap On cordless ratchets and prefer the Milwaukee fuel ratchets saying they out perform the Snap On.Then there are the people that like the Snap On cordless ratchets better.Have to buy new tools due to new style fastners out there, one is the Mortorq fastners.I do remember Wally borrowed that tape measure of yours and lost it once buying another one.
Snap On in my book is like Apple. You can like or dislike them, but you must admit they make high quality products.
As far as meters go, I have the fancy one with the WiFi app and the big screen. The app is handy, not just for seeing trends away from the meter, but to quickly capture data and put it in our Shared Drive. The screen is awesome. I like Fluke, but I traded in a Fluke for it b/c (a) he gave me a great deal on the trade and the meter, and (b) I haven’t seen a Fluke or any other meter with a screen like that.
Snap On tape measures are really nice and not that expensive. I have a Stanley at home and the Snap On at work. They both work great but the Snap On is a little nicer. And they were only a few dollars apart in price from what I recall. The one advantage I would give to the Stanley is the magnet on the end. But the auto lock and buttons on the Snap On are probably my favorite of any tape I’ve used. The markings on the tape are really easy to read as well.
Love me some Snap-On!
Ooo!! You baute a Snap-on tape measure??? Hell, the way I look at it, you needed it right then, so thT was cheap at any price! And your harbor harbor Freight/ Snap on jack, damn son you do love pissing people off. LOL!!! But I have to agree with you on your idea of tool buying, those other tool guys don't have a truck coming to your front door every week. And that's worth a lot right there, plus all the tool guys you have coming to your front door are great tool guys!!
I thought everyone knew Snap on jackes were USA made. All you gotta do is google it.
Can you do a review on the wae77012 ground lug i work on a lot of trailers and loaders that are hard to find a good ground on sometimes would be interested to see how this would work
I've tried all kinds of lights and can't find one I like or holds a charge so I'm still looking for one
I have a fluke 117 now but have been yearning for that big Bluetooth bad boy from snap-on. Sure would help when I’m alone in the shop but maaaan that price is a tough one to swallow.
Fluke have some DMMs with a detachable display which might be cheaper than the Snap-on. And I think Owon have a cheap bluetooth DMM which is probably good enough for lighting circuits.
@@mattt4183 I totally forgot fluke had the detachable option and have never heard of the other brand but I’ll give it a look. Thank you!
Then that’s a new model of floor Jack. Just look at the judgement which snap on lost a year or so ago against Harbour Freight and the same company was making both jacks and that’s why snap on lost.
Now do keep in mind, that only applies to that one model of Jack.
I’m a snap-on fan boy but most of their jacks are from China. The country of origin is listed for every item on Snap-On’s website. Reference: shop.snapon.com/product/Short-Chassis-Service-Jacks/2-Ton-Floor-Jack/FJ200
Hey Clay did you ever get a chance to try the new brushless ratchet ?
I do not own a brushless one
Nice show
My problem with snap on is that they didn't want to refund the 1/2 digital torque wrench, because the screen didn't work. So I switch to BGS technic.
The first time snap-on says no warranty you will go postal with smoke coming out your ears #*#*&$^#^. I don't know if it's still worth the pain.
I like that jack…. but it’s like 950$ or something
The 29th is my birthday😆 hate that I can’t make it up there. Wouldn’t be a bad drive from Arkansas though. Hopefully next time!
Just come on we will toss you a birthday party! It’s gonna be fun. Great live band too
I heard that! I’ll definitely be watching the live stream!
Nice floor jack
How to tell if clay is a true Mississippian there's atleast one photo of the king in his office
I got laughed for buying the new Snap On tape measure.
I have two different ones.
Not gonna lie I would have died laughing if he pulled that jack out and it said Daytona across the top😂
Student discount. Taking advantage.
I think a guy can buy what he wants. Personally I like many different tools snap on being one of them, just our drivers in my area are horrible. Nothing like your guy. He is how all tool guy should be.
Those flukes don’t brake I have one over 20 years running that belonged to my pops. but he’ll I’d save 50 on a snap on meter
I think snap on is fine I'd rather spend money elsewhere but they make good tools
Are we able to buy any raffles etc fir the diesel medic livestream party. I’d love to be part of it that way as I can’t fly out there unfortunately. Or will the tool truck guys have anything specific for the live streamers to buy etc.
I think all the sales have to be in person for those guys.
According to JDTCo. The said that the were the same
Some dealers are scumbags. If your not a customer they will refuse warranty.
That’s true and it sucks
It’s actually Lisle 22100 FW locking tool Duramaxx 6.6L
People that get offended have too much time on their hands
