@@Guile1117 then its probably more accurate to say their childhoods sucked and their families were dysfunctional. that much is true regardless of them being loved.
This is perfect!! Just captures how Zuko parallels Toph throughout the show. Especially how they were kids who both had abusive parents in different ways. For Toph, it was ableist parents who were neglectful towards Toph. For Zuko, his father was emotionally, physically, and mentally abusive towards Zuko. Zuko's mom also left him. This shows how both had to let the Gaang care about them and how they each helped prepare Aang for his fight with Ozai. Both had to let themselves be vulnerable to accept the love in front of them with the Gaang and Iroh. ❤️💚
people usually use it to reference Snape in Harry Potter still having a doe as a patronus because he still loves Lily, but tbh I use it without actually referencing anything

Why doesn't Toph need an adventure like Zuko like Aang, Sokka, and especially Katara needed? Because Toph could always tell Zuko was being honest and genuine when he wanted to join them. They also have a surprising amount of similarities. Both are raised in royalty with families who never take the time to get to know them. They're both fiercely independent and have a need to do everything on their own, finding it hard to accept help and love from those who would give it to them. It's because they're so similar that Toph is able to trust him without having to go on a life altering mission with him. She can see that who he was isn't who he is and who he will be is the opposite of the person they've been fighting all this time.
True! Though becoming able to trust Zuko was only the cause of most of those field trips, but I they got much more from those trips than just friendship to Zuko. I think he and Toph could have gone on a mission together, maybe talk about those similarities, and learn something together. Who knows, maybe one day they'll release a story like that in the next years hehe
I agree, getting to trust Zuko is just one (minor) reason for the trips, it was more about completing their character arcs before the finale. But Toph's arc was already completed (although I still think she could have gone back to confront her parents face to face or something)
@@MellanClear i dont think that wouldve been necessary. as someone that has a very similar complicated relationship with my parents, i very much liked that she didnt go back to them at all unless they expressed anything to her first, (or at least, seemed to) because thats how it should be. she doesnt owe them anything, and they werent going to change their minds. so it likely wouldve just been painful for her to confront them and drudge all that up again because she wouldve just been, basically, talking to a wall. after a certain point, leaving and never looking back is the best thing to do. they got to that point when they doubled down on being strict after everything theyd seen and she had poured their heart out to them, and broke her trust when they sent that letter to her at ba sing se.
Hello, thank you for making these videos! (especially the Melancholy Hill one!) I'm thinking of making a video based on Avatar myself, and just wanted to ask where you get such clean audio for the voice lines!?!? Is there an AI you use or a resource available online, or is it just magic haha?
Thank the gods you're still doing this. YOU helped me through my little depression in 2018. Now so much years later we meet again. Maybe MikeCharlieBravo rings a bell. Thank you so much old friend. Eventough we've never had a face 2 face encounter. I feel this connection, on a spiritual level. Like we learned in life.🪷💮

This really makes me wanna see an actual Zuko life changing trip that Toph never got.
Yes!!
In my mind, Zuko helped her confront her parents again after the events of the finale
When Toph started the sentance and Zuko finishes it. 😢 like wow! They were the rich kids that didn't have a loving family. 😭
No, they both did,Zuko had Iroh and his mom, but Tophs parents did love her. They were just to over protective of her 😅

Hi thank you for your comment! Yes I use AI to clean the audio, I go to x-minus.pro, but Vocal Remover is very good too!
Have you watched attack on Titan? I think you could do a lot of magic with it.
I'm not caught up on the last season, but people like Ilovehertjes have done *wonderful* work on it already!
