i think the graphic is only of the bottom of the chart, so all the other players are even higher, and if one kill had too much effect on ranking it would make it fluctuate too much to be meaningful
Also, when he beat Annihilist on ep. 1, he got sent to Brian D's rank, effectively expelling him. Law is still a student, how does Brian killing him here not expel him? Is it because it's an actual match and not a spur of the moment fight?
R41NF1R3 It’s because Annihilist had a really low rank meaning a lost means he drops below 0 and he gets expelled. The law has the highest so a death wouldn’t do shite to affect his rank. I assume you gain more rank from killing people with higher ranks.

This series still ages so well. Watching it 7 years later, and I still find myself entertained throughout. The story, the characters, the humor, the drama. Everything just comes brilliantly together.
