Love the D/A cassette lock ring and Shimano cable housing with SRAM drivetrain! Wild mix on a Colnago carbon bike. Very nice bar and stem combo, and you don’t see those brakes very often! Unusual bike build....love it.

It isn't. Threadlocker is for threads. With bottom brackets, you use a retaining compound. Cheers.
@@miguelmurill1 pretty much same difference as blue Loctite will take care of the creeping squeaking problems associated with bottom brackets in frames and loosening over time anyway seat posts as well and make perfect sense for those very trick dual cantilever boss brakes Rim set that are lighter and I don't want no stinking disc brakes on my bike anyway as well as your overpriced BB compound. ....

@@dfunk6824 The difference is how they work. Threadlocker is activated by torque, and retaining compound hardens in the absence of air. I use retaining compound on Porsche engines. Also, please remember that you don't have to have a channel to be an expert. In fact, most people who have channels don't know anything. Best.

I Agree, I can't stand disk breaks on classic road bike frames...
I do not like disc brakes on any road bike, seriously rim brakes are just fine. I think they look better.
@@HeartNDagger18 Correct. No major tour has been won on them yet, Froome despises them as well, but with 5 mill a year he's being diplomatic. I know my utility bike is slow, aided by it's disc's.If I jam on the dual pivot rim brakes my rear wheel jerks to one side so that's strong enough for me.I use my back brake only in 99% of occasions only anyway.

Excuse me, he used loctite 242 for the Press Fit bottom bracket. Wouldn't it be better to use loctite 222, which is of low resistance and thus the extraction will be easier.

Lovely bike, interesting this frame weighs 400 grams more than the Bianchi Specialissima disc brake bike that you recently built, and yet the overall bike weight is a full kilo lighter! Long live the rim brake 👌

A Colnago C64 need to be built with "only" italian stuff: Deda Superleggero and Superleggera for handlebar and stem, Campagnolo Bora One for wheels, Campagnolo Record or Super Record as groupset.
