My idol at favorite watch CASIO...
Hii...somebody maybe can help me, whats the different between PRG-330 and PRW-3000...they look similar but their price deep difference
I just purchased this watch on eBay for 50 bucks total. What a steal. Fits on my wrist like a charm. Beautiful watch.
Actually I think that this compass layout on the bezel can be useful. It can be a tip regarding which number shows which direction, especially for beginner users both of compass in general and this type of watch.
The prw-s3100 and the prw-3100fc models have sapphire crystal
Thanks much
Hey rob if youre wanting a new casio with lots of functions you may want to look at the gbd100 or gbd1000h coming out this summer
I have got a Protrek PRW3500T. I can definitely recommend you to buy a Protrek. It offers lots of features for its price, it's well built, it will stay with you many years, it looks cool and it's a different watch. It's really good enough to own. Cheers.
Awesome! Pretty similar to my Suunto Traverse (minus the solar ...)
Yup, those perpetual battery changes needed in the Suunto got me to switch this protrek.
Not sure but there should be screen protectors for this watch - have them on my Casio digitals.
What else do we need? 200m of water resistance. Great looking watch. Im okay with the glass. Just prefer 200m so I don’t have to worry.
I love the all digital ProTrek watches. The PRW 3100/3510 series are great watches. The “1” denotes STN displays BTW. My recent pick up was the PRW 3100T-7 - the one that comes with a titanium band.
리뷰해 주셔서 감사합니다.
I know you dont like metal keepers, me either but does this rubber keeper move around or does it stay in place when you're wearing it?
Anyone know if you can put adapters on this watch to run a NATO or Zulu strap? If there is one thing I don't like about alot of these Casio watches, it's that they seem to purposely make it difficult to replace a band with anything but the overpriced Casio ones.
Excuse me , what model is similar to change the straps ?
I've had the older version of this model, the PRG300, for years and its a fantastic watch. Mine is a negative display version and the numbers are super big and clear. I can hardly read a negative gshock square, but no issues with this one. I've just ordered nato adapters that are for another model but apparently fit this. Looking forward to getting it on a canvas or seatbelt strap.
Is the display clear and easy to read? I'm looking at getting one but if it's hard to read I might have to pay more to get the STD display!
@@NathanChisholm041 Yup, I have the PRG300-7 and it's clear and easy to read.
@@emperorchopchop7726 Cheers! I think for the dollar these offer a lot off bang!
@@NathanChisholm041 It won't disappoint. I've got a dozen g-shocks, but if the apocalypse were kicking off and I could only take one watch, it'd be the PRG.
I have the prw3000 and the prg300 and both survived the extreme conditions when I was at northern Chile, still working great until now..
Which do you prefer?
I have been debating between this PRG330, PRW3000 and PRW3100. Can't seem to find decide if the features of the PRW3100 are worth it, especially outside the US where Atomic Clock can't be synced (I live in Costa Rica)
@@DCifuentesJ get the GBDH1000... pura vida mai!
@@frankp3106 I don't work out. Or willing to spend $400 on a watch with those features. Pura vida, mae 😂.
Affordable? I don't think so ! In România, this watch is sold with a starting price around 350 euros( about 400 dollars). The minimum wages in here are about 650 euros per month. So, yeah...not so Affordable as you think.
No multiband??
Got this from Costco for $80 and it's a freaking insane steal for that.
Just got one from Costco for the same price today. Super happy with it
@@giftedhat7436 do you know if it's still available or did they phase them out already?
do you have a vid for battery replacement for the ProTrek Solar PRG330?
I don’t, sorry
Appreciate the review. Regarding the bezel, you can orient yourself physically so that the compass marks are aligned with the digital compass. There may be circumstances where that would be of some use
look up for "true bearing" and "relative bearing" terms in orienteering. that's where the rotating bezel comes handy.
Exactly. You turn around to line up north then you can accurately go in the desired direction.
What would you choose between this and the PRW3100?
The PRW-3100 is a step up with a much better display.
I have this one. Fast and easy to set up. Version 3 sensors get the info fast
What's the reference of this new version?
The PRG240has version 2 sensors and its alit slower then version 3
what is the difference between model no. prg-330-1-cr and prg-330-1-er? Are they same.
Not sure, could be just region they are sent to.
@@RandomRobReviews thank you for your reply.
Very nice. Love the display. Rob, have you got a link to patron? I'm furloughed right now but when I go back to work would like to help the channel out. Thanks man. I really like this watch, but I might wait until you review the other model you mentioned.
The 3100 is discontinued now, prices going up. But had metal bezel and multi band. I have one on the way. Steve I would love to have you on the Patreon, great group of guys over there. Shoot me an email. crvluv@yahoo.com
@@RandomRobReviews will do Rob, thanks for the info.
Are those side screws decorative?
@Lukáš I mean those screws visible in the middle at 4:14.
What video equipment are you using?
Video Gear, and Patreon Group
They do have a saphire crystal model. Its super expensive do to the rarety. Its a Japanese model I had to order from japan. Its similar but it has a resin bracelet, similar to a combi but entirely plastic. It has a saphire crystal, and coating. It also has a higher res screen. I can let you borrow for review if you want but it has definitely been used (ie not in perfect condition), but definitely a testament to its reliability
What's the model number?
@@yogiyoda prw-3100fc
i just ordered one direct from casio, mostly because i like those super legible numbers. however, a useless bezel does upset me
To use the bezel better when in compass mode, you can just take the watch off
is it a big watch ? thank you
this video man is a bsht
Random " I'm not gonna __ " Rob. You're usually the first result or near the top when someone searches for a watch model on here and you always seem to choose to neglect important details. I'm a long time subscriber and have seen countless videos, but man has that become frustrating. We shouldn't have to seek out 5 different sources for the details of a watch. I understand you do a large number of reviews and sometime more than one a day. If you're going to take the time to do a review, please just be thorough. You have one of the largest review inventories to choose from on youtube and sometimes your video is the only one on a certain model. I hope you can see how it would be greatly beneficial to people to be a one stop shop for information. I hope I don't seem too rude, I rarely get upset enough to comment. I understand we didn't hire you to make reviews, you do it on your own accord and I am grateful. In my opinion, if you have something to give and have a clear advantage that others don't, I believe if you're conscientiously minded you should feel a responsibility to those you're sharing it with to do the best job that you can. I'll wait patiently for my inevitable crucifixion, carry on.
Often times I am actually rushed or at least short on time. That’s my only excuse. I get it for sure, some watches I could make a long video and cover functions. Instead I cover simple stuff that 90% of people will use on it and quick specs. Maybe in the future I can try a long video to see if people appreciate, I doubt they will though.
@@RandomRobReviews That 10% are the ones who search for this video.
Hiya, just an observation but no there is no use in having a compass bezel on a digital watch? Just a gimmick that one! Cheers.
Tan caro y para lo que hace..
Don't like the Protrek at 12. Lmao.
Smaller than a G-Shocks but still too large.
For what? A toddler? It's a SMALL watch.
