I hope these people are able to recover quickly from their terrible losses and trauma. But there should be no FEMA money for Red states whose politicians cry about Federal overreach and the need for budgetary discipline whenever Blue states are in need. Residents of Red states need to do what the GOP is always telling the poor of this country to do: pull yourself up by your own bootstraps.
