You actually could bring jerky home!? I didn't know that! Now I feel bad... As for the chapter; Love it, but it wrecked me so badly. Experimenting and torturing animals breaks my heart and I hated seeing our animal companion mutate as we fight them. I had Mahina on my first run, so I actually replayed the game and picked Akala so he could journey with Ochette in another timeline. It also made me appreciate Ochette even more, given how she gave the darkling peace before death.
I guess I had a lot of Jerky on my inventory, not really sure how that triggered, but hey the more you know xD Yeah, I'm the same with animals, so definitely hit some strings near the end. Her final chapter felt surprisingly climatic too considering how not much happens in the rest of her story other than catching monsters.
Since I picked Akala I ended up fighting Malamaowl. I feel bad that regardless of who’s chosen the other dies a sad death after being tortured and had darkness experimented on them. Seeing them mutate in real time is horrifying (especially Mahina)
The island is under attack and those humans STILL want to argue about getting more land!? I know this opinion is wrong (especially in times like this), but this is why I hate people sometimes
The fact that the boss is different dependent on the starter that you choose is great, but also tragic. Ngl, I felt bad for the Lajackal (or Akala) after beating it, and seeing Ochette comforting it at their final moment just broke me.
Listening Master Juvah makes me that he is the wise version of Lu Bu
28:51 Ochette's War Cry
29:03 Master Juvah
well a hunt successful, yet it's sad that we had to put the jackal down

Our journey through this is almost over I'll miss it when it does

I wonder how the owl will look as the boss if you pick the fox instead at the start.

Interesting fact: I chose the jackal at the beginning and the final boss for me was a monstrous version of the owl.
