I remember my final year of Gynaec postings, our SR was a male. And OMG he was so confident and amazing. Never felt he was embarrassed, in fact he was great with patients and had amazing knowledge. He was basically an inspiration for all of us.
Actual Gynaec male residents are nothing like shown in this movie. They are amazing, genuine and really hard working. My own father in law is the best Gynaec in town and the most experienced one.
So, well take the movie as a comedy, but don't take it seriously. Real world male gynaecs are nothing like that. They're as competent and confident as their female counterparts.
btw, any male doctor never examines a female patient alone. If you're anywhere related to medical field, you'd know this.

We need more movies like this which takes a funny take on raising awareness in society and helps to remove the stigma people have in their mind about medical field and doctors ! Doctors need to be respected no matter what ! Kudos to the team for coming up with such idea and producing a movie on it. Its always a treat to watch Ayushman on screen :)

This movie is really a refreshing one. I don't know about non-medico people...but being a medico it was so good to watch. Laughed throughout the movie, cried too and totally enjoyed. Being myself a male Gynaecologist, it reflects exactly same what I faced being in this profession. Hope our mindset of patient changes. What should matter is final good outcome for both mother and baby.

@@dandez3126 Due to this gender bias, hardly few males are taking this speciality. In my obg dept I am the only male gynaec. Many male gynaecs prefer to go to govt sector. Although I am working in one of the biggest corporate gaints, but still I was denied consultant post due to this. But many patients are happy with my work, and what matters is how much empathetic and skillful you are and not the gender.
