Did you ever figure out what "Asking Alexandria does not exist until I get what's owed to me" means? I feel like he could have just said "im going back to the ukraine to visit family im sorry i gotta leave the band" and you guys would have gotten danny back and all would have been well. It so weird how a lot of people want Denis instead of Danny now because he brought back the old school vibes but at the same time he left you guys in the dark. The Black is my fav album (as you can tell from my pic) and even I am confused as to why Denis left you guys in the dark but ok

I've heard he had the classic case of Lead Singer disease meaning he felt HE was the band and they wouldn't be shit without him so he was making exorbitant requests, wanted like 50% of the royalty shares or something like that but all of that is rumor. From what I remember, Denis was like virtually a nobody who just did vocal covers on youtube way back in the day, ended up in some shit band and then stumbled into the fucking dream gig of a life-time when Danny originally left AA with his personal issues. Like, I remember seeing some of Denis' cover videos on youtube before he had anything going for him. So, if ego was really involved than he went from zero to hero at fucking light speed and grew a massive fucking ego and tried to throw his weight around. He was blessed by the opportunity to front for AA so if these rumors are true than fuck em.
He says it was mainly because of the situation in Ukraine, with the conflict going on over there and he was worried about his family and couldn't stand being in a touring band at the time. I can respect that. And it's believable to an extent.....but less than a year later he was giving interviews talking about writing new material and getting back to touring with a new band and at the time, Ukraine was in just as much shit then as it still is today so I'm skeptical honestly. When shit like this happens with band break-ups, the public usually never gets the complete true story and that's fine. Bands deal with personal shit and personality clashes all the time. I've seen it and been apart of it, just not nearly on the scale Asking Alexandria is at. Not even close. Whatever the truth is, it's probably a mixture of both things or somewhere in the middle.

@@retrocny5625yeah but drag me out has never played a show cause of the issues in Ukraine. I do agree it’s likely in the middle though
