    Very good lecture. Nowaday I was searching on youtube better channel to study chi square and hypothesis. I got Fawad and understood better. Asia teachers are better than western teachers even books Asia is better though I am from Africa.

    Comparing two groups with vastly different sample sizes (e.g.,
    n=7,n=100 using a chi-square test is generally not recommended. shall I use fisher exact test or Monte Carlo Simulation.kindly suggest for 2×2 or 3×4

      You can have multiple variable but the association will be between two.

    How we get to know that our significant value is .005 or .001 in chi square test?

    • @researchwithfawad
      @researchwithfawad  4 місяці тому

      The results table does provide the significance value. We compare it to 0.05. Less than 0.05 is significant.

    Sir, wonderful explanation. I have a question. As personality and preference of color were categorical variables, so why were they measured on scale (interval/ratio) in the variable view of your video, and why not at an ordinal level ?

    Does a chi square work if there is missing datas?

    • @researchwithfawad
      @researchwithfawad  11 днів тому

      The Chi-Square statistic is typically not calculated directly because the presence of missing values prevents the software from fitting the "saturated model" needed to compute it. To handle missing values, Under the "Estimation" tab, check the box next to "Estimate means and intercepts

    Sir, can one way chi square test be used for non normal likert scale data? By dividing the likert scale into 2 sections (123 as low) ( 4 and 5 as high) and treating them as dichotomous variables?

    Plz tell me if DV has 12.questions in total which divided in 3.forms. let suppose each form is based on 4.questions on likert scale 1…5
    Then do we first indexed each form. And then?

      If you want to assess each dimension separately, you can introduce each dimension into the test, otherwise create a composite for the whole construct.

    Sir,
    if in a study we are using chi square for different categorical variables such as - gender profession, marital status and age and association is to be found with different variables , can we do it once ?
    Means association found among abovesaid demographic variable with satisfaction (satisfied/ not satisfied) can we put all demographic variables once and find association with satisfaction?

    • @researchwithfawad
      @researchwithfawad  2 роки тому +2

      Yes, but association is between two variable so you will have separate chi-square statistics.

    If No? Then which test should I apply???
    Objective :- To examine the challenges faced by users of fin tech.

    Thank you for your videos. If I were to perform a correlation test under crosstab, what value should I report? I have seen some people report a positive value for the "approximate T" as a negative value and a negative as a positive value. What would you suggest?

    Bhai Jaan, I was reading one article, there were nominal data IV ( primary healthcare, secondary hospital, specialized hospital, Polyclinic, Lab ) and DV (Good sleep and Poor sleep during COVID-19)and authors put chi square value together (12.775) and p value 0.026, is it correct ? Or chi square value should be for each category e.g., primary healthcare and sleep (good or bad) , same secondary hospital and sleep , etc etc

      Bhai Jaan, It means over all association we can write chi square value for many variables together and p value also , there is possibility p is not significant for some of them ?

    Hi. Thanks for your great effort. There are 3 values in SPSS output tables regarding crosstab procedure, first is Pearson Chi square value, second is likelihood ratio value, and third is Fisher's exact test value. Which value to choose and report? I noticed that Pearson Chi square value, and likelihood ratio value are always shown in any SPSS crosstab procedure regardless the number of rows and columns and regardless the violation or no violation of Chi square assumptions, whereas Fisher's exact test value is only shown when there is more than 2 by 2 table and there is a violation of Chi square assumptions? Is my notice true or there is another rule behind that?
